Blogburst Of The Week #3

The Coming Civil War
The blogburst of the week was a close one, and several of you were considered. There was a lot more participation this week, and that is a good thing. Next week will be week 4, and from these 4 we will ask all of you to vote for the blogburst of the month. The winner of this will recieve a free T-shirt from the Stop The ACLU Store
So the winner this week is The Life and Times with a wonderful rant, and some interesting predicitions. Congrats! Here is a small excerpt.
* The ACLU will continue to attempt to shove Christianity into the private sector. Most Christians will put up little if any fight over this. Tax exempt status for religious organizations is as good as gone. Crosses will be banned from public display if they are within view of a school or other government facility. The ACLU will require that ACLU reps sit in church services to monitor whether or not political speech takes place during services. That is unless they successfully yank tax exempt status first.
* Rush Limbaugh, you know the one “they stood up for that one time”, along with Sean Hannity and all other political talk programs will be banned from airwaves within 30 days of an election.(You can thank John McCain for that one.) Of course the liberal media will carry on as usual.
* Internet political blogs will be banned within 30 days of an election, possibly permanently. This blog WOULD NOT obey such a law if it were to come to that. I’d do jail time if that’s what it came to.
* High courts will make decisions based solely on international precedents. The constitution will not resemble its original form at all. All drugs and prostitution will be legal. Criminals will enter rehabilitation homes, most will be released back into society very quickly.
* All of this will lead to civil war. Probably it will start out with violent riots that expand until two party’s are formed that battle. Chaos and anarchy, and martial law ensue.

Your actually not too far off in these things. The ACLU does advocate legalizing drugs and prostitution. I will have to pull those on over from the old site soon.
I thought the courts werealready making decisions based on international precedents.
God Bless America, God Save The Republic
Whats sad is that if people would join together and stand up NOW..this civil war, which is already taking place ideologically could be won before it gets so bad.
I guess we can only hope that this rant about maybe’s doesn’t become reality someday. But it is an eye-opener about dark possibilities lurking on the horizon.
Yes, lets hope he’ll be wearing a tin foil hat on this one.
It’s unsettling because it is feasible.
I did go read the whole thing, BTW!
What a great job!
When will the insanity end? Probably not until Judge John Roberts starts dropping the hammer on the Supreme Court.
Great Blogburst selection Jay.
test
I understand that conservatives and liberals disagree, and some people think that these disagreements could turn violent. That’s a sobering topic to reflect upon.
But it’s less clear to me that the ACLU fits so neatly into this liberal/conservative dichotomy. The ACLU has defended the rights of conservatives as well as liberals to speak out, has opposed politically-correct speech codes, and has opposed the McCain/Feingold campaign finance laws disparaged here.
Just FYI.
Never said the ACLU doesn’t do a couple of good things here and there for propaganda purposes.
The ACLU may get it right once in a while, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
Good post and good choice.
I understand the desire to complain, but we really need to work to beat them at their own game, which is largely fought in the distribution of information. The Web helps a great deal, as does Fox to some extent, but a strategy needs to be crafted, similar to what:
http://www.thetruth.com/
has done to tobacco.
Strategy > Design > Delivery

great post…and congratulations!
let’s hope it doesn’t turn out this way…..i think judge roberts will help balance things out.
the ACLU really needs to GO…….
I went and read the whole thing. Excellent post and great choice!
Let me know when it starts. I have my weapons loaded and know the location of the ACLU office.
Amen to that!
Okay…that was scary. Congrats Aaron for a great post!!
Congratulations.
What a bunch of chicken-hawking pussies.
Go beat your wives and children, I think they just had a thought of their own.
The liberal media, with the exception of FOX News (Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, John Gibson, Neil Cavuto, Steve Doocy, E.D. Hill, Brian Kilmeade, Brit Hume), Clear Channel, Laura Ingraham, Dr. Laura, Rush Limbaugh, Hugh Hewitt, Ann Coulter, Newsmax, G. Gordon Liddy, Michael Reagan, Michael Savage, The New York Post, Sinclair Broadcast Group (WLOS13, Fox 45, WTTO21, WB49, KGAN, WICD, WICS, WCHS, WVAH, WTAT, WSTR, WSYX, WTTE, WKEF, WRGT, KDSM, WSMH, WXLV, WURN, KVWB, KFBT, WDKY, WMSN, WVTV, WEAR, WZTV, KOTH, WYZZ, WPGH, WGME, WLFL, WRLH, WUHF, KABB, WGGB, WSYT, WTTA), David Horowitz, Rupert Murdoch, PAX, and MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, will go along with it.
God Bless America! I hope we all rally so we can get the theocracy started sooner rather than later.
Jesus SAVED me and he would be President if I could have it my way.
Truth be told, anytime a group of people tries to completely dictate every action of individuals, there will be a violent backlash. No one likes being told they are not permitted to make their own decisions whether they be good or bad. Both sides of the aisle need to be careful not to push the limits too far because it will lead to the downfall of civilization.
BTW, nice comment Jake. Intellectual, Rational, and Reasoned. So much for tolerance and compassion.
