MSM Actively Plotted to Bury the Racist Rev. Wright Story
Continuing on the racism meme:
The truth, once revealed, is seldom surprising. There is now a simple explanation of why Fox News was the only major news outlet reporting stories on those wacky, anti-American, white-hating exploits of the dear Rev. Jeremiah Wright, spiritual mentor of Barack Hussein Obama: a concerted conspiracy among the mainstream media journalists to bury the story.
First, set the scene, a little over two years ago, when word was dribbling out through FNC, Hannity and a few conservative news sources about the Right Reverend Wright viciously denouncing whites, the United States government, and America generally. It looked like there’d be trouble for BHO’s presidential campaign.
The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”
If America was beginning to notice something, the legions of lefty journalists on JournoList were starting to twitch and squirm, seeing their Hopeychange man-child in trouble. So they did what all good progressives do when they feel that their quest for power is threatened: they plotted and planned to bury the truth.
Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”
Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.
In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”
Michael Tomasky, a writer for the Guardian, also tried to rally his fellow members of Journolist: “Listen folks–in my opinion, we all have to do what we can to kill ABC and this idiocy in whatever venues we have. This isn’t about defending Obama. This is about how the [mainstream media] kills any chance of discourse that actually serves the people.”
In typical elitist progressive fashion, the wackjob leftist media were in the business of telling us only what they believed, in their infinite wisdom, that we deserved to hear, that which would actually serve us best. So they gave us pabulum that aimed to deflect our attention from those deep, dark ogres in Obama’s closet – the likes of Wright and Frank Marshall Davis (and Ayers and Alinsky for that matter) who ooze with contempt for our nation, for liberty, and for equality among races and socioeconomic classes. But what else would you expect?

Say it ain’t-effing-so. Our media not only lie to us constantly, they lie by omission. And, conspire about it. Whomever is leaking out this priceless JournoList information must be aiming to get Breitbart to increase his $100K offer for spilling the beans on the list.
It is not the omission of Wright but the attitude it does not matter .Throw in the loons of the Czars:Holdren,Sunstein, Jarret.jennings,Browner…ad nauseum that our vaunted “fourth estate” fail to vent, you have the obama cabal tyranny. Moreover, it took Beck to make Van Jones known to the public rather than the media.
“..what we deserved to hear..” from the “fourth Estate”, is exactly correct.
I suppose for those who are not part of the Christian tradition, Wright’s comments may seem odd. However, we Christians are part of a religious tradition that dates back to the Old Testament which speaks harsh words to those in power. If you are interested, you may want to find a Bible and look at a few books toward the end of the Old Testament (or Jewish Torah if you like): Jeramiah, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Malachi. There are others as well in that section of the Old Testament. They all condemn Israel’s leaders and people for ignoring those who are poor and disadvantaged. These books read remarkably like Reverend Wright’s sermon, when looked at in whole (not in out of context excerpt). It was this understanding that caused the more mainstream news outlets to ignore what was really a non-issue in favor of more important things going on at the time – like the war and the economy.
