The Mojave Desert Cross Endures

I’ve not posted here for some time, primarily because I don’t want to get this blog and my friends entwined in my political campaign for the Florida House of Representatives.

But.

I have to take a victory lap. This blog mentioned the victory in the Mojave Desert Cross case a couple of days ago. STACLU, however, has been influencing the debate for quite a while.

STACLU first highlighted the fact that a WWI war memorial that consisted of two simple pipes welded together on top of a boulder in the middle of nowhere three and-a-half years ago. The images and video carried by this blog (take my word on this) greatly influenced those who drove the litigation to the recent victory.

I love it when a plan comes together.

It was never about forcing religious symbols on those who may be challenged or convicted by seeing them, it was, and is, about the freedom to express faith and leave the results to individuals’ hearts.
