Dan Benishek: the alternative to Bart Sell-out Stupak
As everyone knows by now, Bart Stupak has sold out on Obamacare. No one should be surprised, really — because as Laura at Ace of Spades points out, one must have principles to begin with in order to stand on them. It turns out, he admitted a year ago that he probably was going to vote for it. Joke’s on us for actually thinking he wouldn’t cave, huh? He caved for absolutely nothing except a meaningless piece of paper that Obama waved in his face, an executive order that even Democrats understand is meaningless. Is he stupid, or was he just lying all along? Did Pelosi finally get to him, or was he just holding out for a sweeter deal? There have been rumors floating around that he took an $800k bribe. Is it true?
Whatever his reasons were, Stupak will be eaten alive this November. Fortunately, we have an excellent alternative to Stupak — a pro-life conservative surgeon named Dan Benishek. In one day, over 11,000 joined his Facebook page. Donations have allegedly already begun to pour in, which sounds like a mighty good idea to me.

It’s been reported on twitter that Stupak, a few days ago was guaranteed a huge grant from the president to fund construction programs for airports in his district. He sold his vote for money, not for claims he cared about life of unborn babies.

With all due respect…you were a sucker if you thought Stupak wouldn’t fold up like a lawn chair.
How many times do you have to be fooled by some “principled” Deemocrat who always caves before you get it …?
Lieberman.

Landrieu.

They all had serious problems with the bill right up to the moment they voted for it.
Tomorrow I’m going to send a package to Bart Stupak’s office. Inside it will be 30 nickels–30 pieces of silver.

Unemployment in the first congressional district has remained high for years. This district is conservative and has been moving to the right for years. The old hard line Democrats are dying off and their children tend to vote more Republican.
