An IVAW traitor in GOP clothing
Adam Kokesh has decided to run for Congress to represent the Third District of New Mexico. Not familiar with Kokesh? Allow me to enlighten you.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999, and served in Fallujah as a sergeant in 2004. Before being discharged in 2006, he was demoted to corporal for bringing a pistol he purchased in Iraq to the United States. He now portrays himself a libertarian conservative, and has even earned the endorsement of Ron Paul (surprise surprise). His shady background shows that he isn’t a conservative at all, that he was a poor NCO, and an awful excuse for a Marine.
After leaving the Corps, he joined Iraq Veterans Against the War. They’re a nasty little group. They’ve issued bomb threats against the Gathering of Eagles and threatend to assassinate Michelle Malkin. They’re the organization that gave us fake Army vet Jesse Macbeth. This is the group that Adam Kokesh aligns himself with. IVAW blames the war in Iraq on “corporate profiteering” and claim that the military is “broken”. It’s also extremely similar to the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, which was little more than a communist front group that held the views that America is an imperialist nation, and that our soldiers who aren’t against the war are murderers.
But don’t think that he’s some innocent bystander. Adam Kokesh has participated in some pretty disgusting stunts. He distributed a Islamophobic flyer on the George Washington University campus, but made it appear that the Young America’s Foundation printed and distributed the flyer. He also repeatedly protested wearing his Marine Corps uniforms. He flew to Germany and urged soldiers stationed there to go AWOL. He was arrested in 2007 for defacing public property. He would parade around in uniform holding an upside-down American flag:

He would also march in uniform for mock patrols during anti-war protests. When a Marine Corps major contacted him about wearing the uniform during protests, Kokesh responded by telling the Major to “please, kindly, go f*ck yourself”.
His actions after he joined IVAW caused the Marine Corps to reduce his honorable discharge to a general discharge. Yet Kokesh still represents himself as a sergeant who received an honorable discharge.
I spoke to the New Mexico Republican Party’s communications director today about his running in the primary as a Republican. The problem is that anyone who is a registered Republican can choose to run in a primary race. There’s nothing that can legally be done to keep him from identifying himself as a Republican, despite the fact that he holds absolutely no conservative or Republican principles. He talks like a patriot now, but what about his actions over the past six years? Apparently, we’re supposed to just forget all about them, and there are apparently plenty who are willing to do that. Kokesh is now appearing on Fox News with Judge Napolitano. He’s been endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus, the 912 Project, and of course, Ron Paul. He’s being praised as a “constitutional candidate”, which is utter bull considering he encourages members of the military to break their oath to always defend the Constitution. The man is a disgrace to the country and especially to the Marine Corps.
Yet he’s raising money. He’s getting attention.
There’s another option for District 3 Republicans: Tom Mullins. He deserves our support, and Kokesh deserves to be exposed as the anti-military, anti-American traitor that he is. If you know anyone who lives in New Mexico, make sure to pass this on and get the word out. We can’t let Kokesh get away with such a blatant lie. His home is not in the Republican Party, and unfortunately, the only way to ensure that is to make sure he does not get elected. So help us expose him for the traitorous fraud he is.
Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin

We at The Gathering Of Eagles have been onto this douche for quite awhile now. Capt. Larry Bailey (USN-R) was on the G.Gordon Liddy show today to talk about him. We have set up a blog, American Patriots Against Kokesh to spread the word about him and his lies. Anyone that doesn’t not have an honorable discharge and has cavorted around with marxist, American hating groups like he has, does not deserve to be in Congress. Help stop this before it gets too far.
I like how you guys conveniently(read:deliberately)left out his views on economic freedom, his views AGAINST socialized healthcare, and his anti-tax stance.
Vote for him or not, I don’t care, but what it comes down to is our trillions of dollars in deficit, and the fact is we have no money. Repeat after me, we have no money! We have no money for a public option, no money for bailouts, no money for social security and medicare, and we do not have money for 2 wars and tons of overseas bases.
Adam Kokesh is a REAL conservative. The kind of candidate that will bring the GOP back to it’s roots. He is a capitalists that understands rights derive from property. If you actually look into Adam’s platform, do your own research and dismiss paid talking heads like Malkin, you would see that these negative comments are completely unfounded. Or you could just take everything Malkin says as fact. It’s your choice. Do you have what it takes to think for your self?
“Adam Kokesh has decided to run for Congress to represent the Third District of New Mexico.” Your first sentence starts out real good but the rest of the story is pure crap. Don’t expect a Pulitzer any time soon. Anybody who has ever met Adam or seen him speak, knows he is the real deal.
I see the Rontards found the article.
BTW, I understand he DID NOT see combat. He was in civil affairs IIRC.
And no, neither he or the Rontards are “true” Conservatives. Truly mentally ill, yes.
I’d sooner have a Democrat in that seat than Kookesh. Most Dems are at least up front and honest about where they stand and their intent to take our freedom away. But Kookesh…Every time you turn around, that fat little bastard is sticking a knife in some comrade’s back. First it was the Marines he served with, then it was his leftist protester pals like Cindy Sheehan…next it’ll be RuPaul and the Paulites, and the only ones who will be surprised will be the Paulites.
Kookesh needs to quit acting like a little attention whore, get an honest job and just fade away into obscurity. No one outside of the lunatic fringe respects him or wants the snake oil that he sells.
Opposing a war doesn’t actually make you a traitor, nor do any of the other actions you specify in this article.
You do realize that your title is probably legally actionable as libel, right? The only defense would be that it is true, but “traitor” is a very specific term and for all his faults Kokesh is clearly not a traitor. I wonder if he has time to sue you…
BTW, the inverted flag is a signal for distress and if you think that’s inappropriate in a country with Obama in charge you’re clearly on the wrong side.
