Crazy Uncle Ron Wins CPAC Straw Poll

Sigh

Ron Paul has ended Mitt Romney’s three-year run as conservatives’ favorite for president, taking 31 percent of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual straw poll.

There are good and bad things to say about Paul on the issues, but, personally, I only know of them generally. Until such time as Ron repudiates the 9/11 Truth wackos in his base, and he, himself, states that he doesn’t believe in the the Truth movement while hooked up to a polygraph machine, I do not want to know any specifics about him. That is more than enough to remove him from serious consideration.

His belief that 9/11 was partly our fault, and his wanting to treat Islamic terrorism like pirate attacks, not to mention his early 20th century like isolationist policies makes him completely unsuitable to be a US president in the 21st century.

The fact that people are attracted to Ron Paul because of his adherence to the Constitution, speaks well of our founding document.
The fact that people are attracted to Paul, even with his rabid isolationism and wackadoo foreign policies speaks ill of our ability to field good candidates who strongly uphold our Constitution.

You think he would have made a good president at any time?

Don’t let facts get in your way of a good Paul smear. Paul is not an isolationist, and he directly addressed this bogus claim in the debates. He is a non-interventionist. There is a world of difference. There is no Senator or Congressman who faithfully adheres to the Constitution like Paul does, and whether you like it or not, sometimes that comes to involvement in foreign affairs. If you truly believe that he wouldn’t abide by “providing for the common defense” or that he wouldn’t defend the country, then you are one short-sighted fool.

Ron Paul has a mean cat named Integrity that catches all the rats. Hey, ask a terroist “Why do you hate the U.S.?” He’ll tell you the truth, “It’s because you’re over here. Go home.” Yes. The U.S. started the sh*t storms. We’ve been doing it for decades. If the Chinese were over here doing the same things we’re doing over there, well you know who the “terrorists” would be then, right? They’re not strapping bombs to their chests because we watch MTV and our women vote. Heck, Holland would be a wasteland if that were the case. Ron Paul is correct, as usual.

The founding fathers were very clear in directing the obligations of the POTUS. The President is supposed to manage economical ties to foreign entities, not political ones. I don’t entirely agree with his claim that 9/11 is partially our fault (maybe the CIA’s…) but nonetheless, he is a hardcore conservative in both name and practice. He has stuck to the Constitution on 100% of the issues. Find out for yourself instead of swallowing the party line. ;)
