Obama finally makes a statement

So, Barack Obama was able to squeeze in a visit to Marine Corps Base Kailua to address the nation on the terrorist attack on Christmas Day. I know his schedule was just jam-packed with visits to the gym, going to the beach, and golfing, so we really should be so proud of him for taking the time to actually… you know… do his job.

Obama was clearly irritated that he had to drag himself away from the beach to make a public statement. His demeanor just screams annoyance — as if he’s thinking, “This is just so stupid. What’s the big deal? I’m supposed to be on vacation!” Al Qaeda has officially claimed credit for the attack, and the bomber has warned that there will be more attacks coming. Yet Obama seems so agitated and annoyed that he actually had to address the American people to let us know what he was doing to handle this situation. (Don’t we know that we’re just supposed to implicitly trust him and NEVER question him??) He didn’t even bother to wear a friggin’ tie to the press conference, promises that we won’t rest until this is resolved, and then rushes off the podium to get back to his vacation.

Gee, I feel so much safer now. I’m so glad we have such a great president. Aren’t you?

This comes after he failed his Fort Hood speech by giving shout-outs and putting the attack on the back burner. I can’t believe we elected such an incompetent individual. If this was George W. Bush that did this, he would be tarred and feathered, and rightly so.

I understand it took him a whole forty four minutes of “never resting” before he was back on the links!
