SEIU Wheel Comes Off ObamaCare Express
Comrade Obama has no better friends than the SEIU, an exceptionally thuggish union that spent $27 million on his campaign. SEIU’s top commie Andy Stern has visited the White House more than any other person since the debacle known as the Obamination Administration began to unfold. Yet even the SEIU may oppose ObamaCare, now that the public option has been ostensibly yanked to placate Joe Lieberman.
The bill constitutes extravagantly expensive bureaucratic expansion for its own sake, and offers nothing to anyone except greedy, petty tyrant bureaucrats like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid — and those whose support has been explicitly bought with public money. Hot Air summarizes the chaos it has been causing among moonbat ranks:
Lefties like Michael Moore and Rosa de Lauro blame the centrist Lieberman and want him recalled from office, even though, um, Connecticut has no recall procedure. Democrats like Gibbs and Jay Rockefeller who are desperate to pass a bill blame the liberal Howard Dean for rallying the nutroots at the eleventh hour to kill it. House Democrats blame the Senate for never getting anything done, with Pelosi now reportedly promising exposed Blue Dogs that she won’t make them take any more tough votes next year unless and until Reid has passed his half of each bill first. And Harry Reid … just sounds lost, frankly. Exit question one: How come so many liberals seem to want to do away with the Senate these days when it’s the Senate that more accurately reflects public sentiment right now than the House? Exit question two: Is NBC right? Is this Dean-o’s revenge on Obama?
Republicans on the other hand can have the strength of unity if they just keep it simple: kill the bill.
The Dems may yet ram through this atrocious bill, permanently crippling both our healthcare system and our economy. But at least they’ll come out of it fractionated and resented, with Republicans and the public united against them.
