Indiana Elementary School Praises Allah: Allah is God Lyrics

by Maggie at Maggie’s Notebook

Danielle Thompson, the principal at Lantern Road Elementary school in Fishers, Indiana wanted to teach students inclusiveness to her students, and so the children in the school sang “Allah is God”. When it came to including Christians in the inclusive holiday program, the children sang “I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this? I’m not sure if there a little boy or not.” The inclusiveness at Lantern Road “included no other deity, other than Allah.”

According to the report, “the phrase was removed just before the performance” after protests. Does that mean “Allah is God” was removed but the mocking of the birth of Christ and the manger was not?

Micah Clark, executive director of the Indiana AFA, launched an Internet protest once he heard about the allegations. “What surprised me here is that we’ve had a secular scrubbing of Christmas for so long and the school apparently didn’t see the problem with kids singing to Allah,” he told FOX News Radio. “You won’t even mention Jesus and you’re going to force my child to sing about Allah?

In email correspondence the school initially defended the reference as a way to be inclusive of all religions. However, once complaints starting rolling in, school leaders decided to eliminate the Allah reference.
That drew the ire of the Muslim Alliance of Indiana. “It’s unfortunate if that was removed from the program just because of Islamophobic feelings,” Shariq Siddiqui told the Indianapolis Star.

Here are the lyrics of the praise to Allah:

“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”

Here are the lyrics for the Christian part of the program:

“I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I’m not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I’d like to know exactly what he (sic) say.”

There are 542 little students, in grades Kindergarten through 4th at Lantern Road Elementary. The school’s website says they “welcome all parents to take an active role in their child’s education. That is just what David Hogan, the parent of a daughter in the second grade, did. She brought the lyrics home and he was stunned to know that his child had been praising Allah. How do you feel about the Islamification of your child, your grandchild, your niece, your nephew, the neighbor next door? Are you as appalled as I?

Christmas is about Christ. Christmas has nothing to do with Islam.

A Hamilton county Indiana school removes phrase ‘Allah is God’ from it’s holiday show.

After numerous complaints by parents and the American Family Association Lantern Road Elementary has removed all mention of Allah.

I can’t believe what I have just read. Christians have been denied the right to mention Jesus, whe HE is the reason for the season, but allah is permitted. This principal should be removed immediately. Don’t you even dare to call me an islamofobe either. I worship Jesus Christ the only true God. You are Jesusofobes how about that?

It’s good to see people are finally waking up to this clear and pesent danger called Islamic law, and how it is being forced upon our children.
I had to deal with Indianapolis Public Schools unlawfully indoctrinating my children with Islamic Instruction, and even went through all their books to present my case to the I.P.S. School board that Islam was being taught and given specific preferences such as calling the Bible ‘ancient writtings’ while calling the Quran ‘The Word of God’ and many other outrageous comparisons to numerous to mention, and I presented the evidence to the School Board and my sons Principal who retaliated by having my son taken from me and placed in State ‘protective custody’ to try to silence me. Their excuse the following Monday…somebody over reacted.
That was over a decade ago, so it’s way beyond time to stand up and say enough!

By what grounds did they say they had the right to take your child? My wife would have to take care of my child after I showed up at the princpal’s house unannounced.

The most obvious thing to me is: Whatever happened to the seperation of church and state? Why is it suddenly OK to talk about any religion but Christianity?

Bottom line: That principal is a crackpot. I would have interrupted that program to pull my kid off the stage.

Historically, celebrations on December 25th have little to do with the birth of Jesus (which did not happen at that time of the year). Regardless, mentioning any religion – including Christianity – in a school production should not be done.

I, personally, do not believe that the constitution requires separation of Church and State. It says that the government cannot make any laws restricting freedom of religion. Therefore, all religions are free to be anywhere at any time. But to single out one religion in a public school to allow to have their god mentioned is inexcusable. Either all need to be treated equally or not at all.
