Most Transparent Admin Evah! Blocks Testimony On Party Crashers

OK, we are a little over 10 months since George Bush left office and Mr. Transformational HopeNchange took over, but, I think we can still use the old “just imagine if the Bush White House had done this. The freakout would be amazing:”

The White House on Wednesday invoked the separation of powers to keep Desiree Rogers, President Obama’s social secretary, from testifying on Capitol Hill about how a couple of aspiring reality television show celebrities crashed a state dinner for the prime minister of India last week.

Really? Seriously? President Neophytes admin is going to use political capital, what little is leftover, on this? Makes one wonder what they are hiding and what could come out with an investigation.

Correct me if I am wrong, but, isn’t one of Congresses powers to keep the Executive Branch honest?

Also in the store, the two party crashers have told Congress to bugger off, they won’t testify. Good for them. What they did was wrong wrong wrong, but, they are private citizens, and elected officials were never meant to have the power to call private citizens to testify on a whim. They serve at our pleasure, we do not, or, at least, are not supposed to, serve at theirs.
