SEALs Charged With Assault for Arresting Top Terrorist

If anything can destroy the United States military, it’s not Chinese tanks or Muslim IEDs, but political correctness, employed by sanctimonious fifth-column liberals to corrode its morale. Imagine laying your life on the line for a country presided over by moonbats who bend over backwards to side with its enemies. The latest outrage:
Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.
In case anyone has forgotten about the put-upon Abed’s handiwork, he’s responsible for this:
The four Blackwater agents were transporting supplies for a catering company when they were ambushed and killed by gunfire and grenades. Insurgents burned the bodies and dragged them through the city. They hanged two of the bodies on a bridge over the Euphrates River for the world press to photograph.
These were the four Americans whose savage death prompted Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos to sneer, “Screw them.” We’ve allowed people like Moulitsas to take control of the country. Our troops in the field are paying the price.

If true, I think they showed remarkable restraint in only giving him a bloody lip.
Isn’t it better for them to have a trial and have the truth be brought out in open court? In the end, it comes down to he said-he said. I think a court martial will probably acquite them and then their names are cleared once and for all. Any other process leaves a cloud hanging over their heads forever.
Is it any surprise? Look at who the president is. A man who grew up around family and friends who were almost uniformly anti-Americans, socialists, communists, anarchists and muslims.
Therefore, Ol’ Big Ears is a product of his upbringing. The president is anti-American, period.
Have to agree with Sub Scarecrow, Jason, and jpp. Just a thought, but maybe Ahmed Hashim Abed just tripped onto his face on the way to the car. Happens sometimes….. Anyway, the SEAL’s commanders/ leaders better have their backs as they go through their CMs. Question: is this the ‘government transparency’ that the President continues to tout?
Too bad he didn’t try to escape. Then the SEALs could have blown his a** away. Are we in a War or a political tea party? Why don’t we fight to win? This PC crap is going to kill us all. Go SEALs. This old Navy supports you.

The Members have no common sense nor any moral value with their pushing the envelope. I say outlaw the organization equal to the Communist Party. The lawyers need to do away with any and all that supports this group.
Even when found innocent what happens when the next SEAL, Marine, Special Forces team goes through a door? How many brave men are going to think twice when there is no time for that. If this BS costs one American soldier’s life it hangs on the commanders who pushed this up the line.
As for what happens in the future: I think it will be more likely the Seals and Special Forces will shoot to kill. Fine with me, one less Achmed in the world.

I’d put my money on the SEALs. The “injury” or whatever to the “detainee” (scumbag) was likely self-inflicted. SEALs and other SF soldiers possess a level of self-discipline that few people ever attain. They do not let their emotions get in the way of the mission.
The fact that they’re charging the three SEALs with making a false statement and that of the charges according to the UCMJ warrant a court martial, but the men were offered non-judicial punishment which indicates the claims didn’t hold enough merit to warrant a court martial. The Navy was just looking for a quick resolution, but SEALs don’t take well to intimidation through the use of the UCMJ.
Keep in mind that the person complaining is also the mastermind of a horrific crime and spent five years on the run. The Obama Admin. is giving him the benefit of the doubt and screwing the military. It’s funny (not really) how the military calls for an increase in the level of SF units, yet railroads them when they do their job. Frankly, I DO NOT CARE if this man got a bloody lip, the wind knocked out of him, or whatever. He killed, mutilated, and hanged the dead bodies of American citizens. He doesn’t deserve “rights.”
This is the type of political BS that ties the military’s hands (even tighter) and doesn’t allow them to do their job…kill terrorists. If it weren’t for politicians, Osama bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and Al-Zawahiri would all be dead or in custody. It’s not that we can’t find these people. It’s that we can’t touch them because we’re afraid of pissing someone off (as if flying a plane into each WTC tower and the Pentagon, killing nearly 3000 CIVILIANS shouldn’t piss off the U.S.).
Screw the ACLU and their “compassion.” If a black man is discriminated against, the ACLU, Rainbow Coalition, Al Sharpton, etc. are all over the case. If a white man (or woman) is discriminated against, it barely makes the news. The ACLU is as partisan as Congress and Pres. Obama.
