There’s no need to worry if it passes the Senate, either way if a bill passes with a significant negative impact on the middle and upper class you can kiss the Democratic majority in the Senate and possibly the House goodbye in 2010.

The voter backlash will be on an epic scale never seen before in the history of the USA.

Republican's will repeal this POS legislation in 2012 just like the Democrats repealed No Child Left Behind and Medicare Part D.

[...] Stop the ACLU brings up a point that I have pondered myself with regards to the Democrats praise of Obamacare. If this bill is met with such wide spread support as they claim, then why is it so difficult for Democrats to even begin the debate? Arms had to be twisted, back room deals made and Senators paid off with pork. If moderate Democrats like Lincoln, Landrieu, and Nelson and Independents like Lieberman are sincere in their comments against a government run option plan, federal paid for abortion and increases in taxes … how can this bill get 60 votes to end the debate and move to a final vote? [...]

What is the purpose for this nonsensical bill (House and Senate)? Some 85% of Americans have health insurance, some 75% are satisfied with their healthcare situation. What the hell is this for?

Is our current system perfect? No, but nothing is, mor will the healthcare situation every be perfect. Can improvements be made in the current system? Sure, but you don't destroy the entire system to "reform" it.

This is simply about the whores in DC wanting more and more political power, i.e., influence over aspect of our lives. Micromanagement by the "elites" who want to CENTRALLY PLAN our lives.

Can you say our "intellectual elite" like the Big Eared Chimp in the White House?

I have been appalled and dumbfounded at the lack of concern for their constituents and the lack of any type of political courage that I have seen in both the House and Senate. These people must live in a bubble. Or they just don't care because they're in a position where they personally will prosper regardless. Where is their patriotism? Where is their sense of duty? Do we have to rely on the military or police to come up with a formula where we can find 2 out of 3 people that have a sense of duty? Corrupt bastards like Murtha and the rest are running the country right now whether we want to admit it or not. How is it that the Senate, after seeing the outrage of a 1900 page plus healthcare bill that the majority of us don't want writes a 2000 page bill and they vote to push it forward? What the F..K do we have to do to make them represent us? I used to hate the idea of term limits but now I can see it might be the only thing to do.
