Obama’s Bus Sideswipes The Jewish Vote On Hanukkah

Posted on November 20, 2009

For the 2008 general election, 78% of the Jewish vote went to Barack Obama, topping the percent Kerry achieved in 2004 (76%.) The Jewish vote tends to go overwhelmingly to Democrats, despite so many Democrats railing against Israel and that “evil Israeli lobby,” being pro-Palestinian, pro-Muslim terrorist, etc. Not all, of course. Bill Clinton has not been bad for Israel. But, I digress

The White House’s forthcoming state dinner with the Prime Minister of India is expected to be larger than those of President Barack Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush. But another upcoming White House event will be smaller than in years past: The White House’s annual Hanukkah party.

The guest list is expected to be shrunk by more than half, according to the Jerusalem Post. “Though several Jewish leaders expressed understanding for the economic and other reasons behind the cut, they acknowledged that it would likely help feed feelings in some quarters of the American Jewish community that the White House is giving them the cold shoulder.”

The move comes on the heels of Obama’s cancellation of an appearance before the General Assembly of North American Jewish Federations last week.

Interesting. Obama had no problem having a big dinner to celebrate Ramadan. Nor flying all over the world to speak to Muslims. But, you Jewish folks? Well, looks like the economy is just too poor to celebrate your Holy time, which the Politico tells us as they try and read the White House’s mind

The White House’s decision is likely a response to tough economic times and a desire to keep the holiday festivities reasonable.

Reasonable? The Obama admin didn’t seem to have a problem celebrating China’s 60th anniversary, along with a Chinese flag flying next to the U.S. flag near the White House. As Pam Geller points out, the first paragraph, about the party with India’s P.M. being bigger than previous one, doesn’t quite jibe with the one about the Hanukkah party being reduced because of tough economic times.

This is simply another insult to the American Jews. The idea that the Obama Administration would begin their cost cutting on the Jewish holiday celebration is a cruel joke. The fact is that the Obama administration will do every thing they can to destroy every religion in the US except Islam.

    Strongly Agree Pagar,
It’s beyond me why a majority of Jewish Americans continually support a political party whose philosophy and worldview is counter to not only their interests but the interests of all Americans.

They support Dems because they see them as less Christian and they feel better about that. In fact most of them are secular and dont give a hoot about Israel. They dont see the dems as counter to their world view in America, they see them as knocking the Christian majority, which again makes them feel more comfortable. It’s hard to say and understand but they view the Republicans as too Christian and therefore a threat…you could say it is almost anti-Christian.

The makeup of the American Jewish vote ma change in the near future. When the war breaks out in the Mideast after Israel hits the Iranian nuke sites.
    ***
We could find the Israeli Jews still left alive migrating to the U.S.A. rather than dying in Holocaust II. That would change the voter pool a bunch.

The Jews who supported Obama ought to have their noses rubbed in his crap. Any Jew who believed Obama likes Jews (as opposed to socialists who are Jewish in name only) have themselves only to blame. The evidence of his entire life being raised and nurtured by anti semitic marxists were there for all to see.

Jews are human and humans have a tendency toward bias and when it comes to politics the Jews have a bias toward stupidity. Wake up you idiots!

John Bibb’s comment is way off line. I’m a Jewish Democrat who has never voted for anyone “less Christian.” The Jewish-Christian relationship is stronger now than anytime in history. Though I’m a Democrat, I admire many Republicans, such as Ronald Reagan and Rudolph Giuliani. And while I cannot speak for other Jews, I’m honest enough to admit that Republicans were right — Obama is a failed President.

I’m not Jewish but for the first time in my life I understand the fear Jews have and should have in the face of tyranny. Why they vote for the people that hate them and, if given the chance will be coming for them a la krystalnacht.
I fear for my grandchildren! My daughter-in-law is Jewish and therefore my grandchildren, no matter their choice later on are defined as Jewish!
