If you look at Africa the reason they are starving is because they have to many people for what the land can support. The problem is how do you control population growth. If you look at the people who normally have large families are the parents who can not afford to have such large families (liberals will normally throw in the race flag now), but having the government mandate how many children an individual has is definitely some place I don’t want to go. So how do you limit population growth? Free condoms; people have to use them, and as long as there is a monetary incentive that the government will support children people will still have excess kids. So what is the solution; education. The more educated a population is the less children they have, because an educated person realizes a child is expensive in both the wallet and the time needed to raise one. So while handing out condoms is an easy way to “say” we are helping control the population it won’t do a thing. The real solution, like most good solutions, is not easy, and with our short attention span in America we don’t have the will to solve this problem. Population control is important.
