Look at California, with the recent forced “compromises” what do the Dems want now? They want to change the rules so they don’t need as many votes to pass new taxes and more spending – in short, they want the obstacles removed so they can spend more money than they have faster than ever before without those messy compromises.

Term limits, however well intentioned, have left us with legislators who have no vested interest in long-term planning or thinking. They’ll be out of office long before the consequences kick in, and will never be held accountable for what they have done.
