It is very dangerous when the scientifically illiterate or at least scientifically averse act as self-proclaimed dispensers of medical information especially when they are risking the health of the many viewers who might accept the uneducated ramblings as fact.

I am more liberal than I am conservative, but choosing to not vaccinate yourself based on your own belief system is very different than playing the role of an expert who can sway the opinions of other people. I believe that there are toads of this nature throughout the political spectrum who are quite willing to lead by example when they don’t have the requisite skills to do so.

Like the previous comment said, I enjoyed him bringing up the “settled science” of global warming.

Also, in typical liberal fashion (per Evan Sayet’s “Hating What’s Right” speech), he is fine putting forth his own opinion. However, once it moves from a monologue to a dialogue, his “facts” cannot hold themselves upright, and he must abrupt switch topic.

What’s crazier is that he said vaccination isn’t a settled science like global warming. Interesting how nobody here wanted to highlight that quote, seeing as how you all tend to criticize AGW.

Though I have to find it hypocritical for those on the right-wing who criticize Bill Maher for being crazy when Glenn Beck also arhues against the swine flu vaccine.

P.S.: I consider myself conservative, and I am a big fan of Glenn Beck.
