I don't see why any would care to know how much someone else did. It would be different if the goal for the fundraiser was going to an outside cause, but in the name of transparency the money I asked for was told to everyone it was going to my bank to cover costs here. In the longrun, they have to trust the number I say was donated. If they trust me to give an honest number, why not trust my integrity from the get-go?
