Some of your comments get caught in the spam filter like this last one did. I see no reason why they are except the id change.

If your comment is caught in the filter along with a hundred others, I may not always catch it.

Well loboinok, it seems that lots of my questions and comments get deleted when I post under Alex, so I had to whip out my alias.

Thanks Jay, I was just curious.

I don't care to share these details, I just don't see how it was anyone's business besides those that donated and they know how much they gave. I don't see why any would care to know how much someone else did.

It would be different if the goal for the fundraiser was going to an outside cause, but in the name of transparency the money I asked for was told to everyone it was going to my bank to cover costs here.

The main point is there is no way I can post details that prove how much was given without sharing privacy details of my financial accounts. In the longrun, they have to trust the number I say was donated. If they trust me to give an honest number, why not trust my integrity from the get-go?

For all Joe knows, I raised thousands, bought beer and threw a big party. If I did, Joe still wouldn't know cuz I told him I raised $180. I just think its kinda pointless unless Joe was just curious, in which I don't mind sharing. I'd rather folks ask this kind of stuff privately in email though.

In the name of transparency, Joe/Alex, how about choosing one screenname and email addy and sticking with it?

Did you donate, Joe? It wasn't much. How transparent do you want me to be? I won't reveal who and how much each individual donated. I can't release details. So, you'll just have to trust my integrity on the number I give. Total donations were $180.00, with a special thank you to one individual that made $100 donation. Everyone else gave what they could in $5, $10, and $20 donations. It wasn't much, but it helped cover some costs here and it was appreciated. Is this enough details for you?
