The advances in Adult, Placental, and other non-embryonic stem cell research is doing wonders. Curing disease, halting disease, creating vaccines and treatments, all without those pesky tumors that accompany ESCs. There are barely any actual treatments, medicines, cures, etc, from ESCs. The other types have been going gangbusters. Did you know that all the treatments for Alzheimers derive from Adult Stem Cells, and have been used for well over a decade? Same with so many others. I don't know, I just feel like living human beings, from babies through to the elderly, are more valuable than a cluster of cells barely distinguishable from the embryos of pigs or even fish.
