So they’ve taken one of the most important books ever an appended 50 pages of nonsense to it. Oh dear.

They have every right to do this, of course, but you know they’d be at the front of the queue demanding book burnings if someone published a bible with an introduction pointing out how ridiculous it was and highlighting its misanthropic contents.

Is Darwinism a religion? Also, the truth about Darwin’s racism and sexism is not nonsense, its called facts.

    “darwins racisim and sexism”

it’s really easy to call it that, through the prism of modern thought.

many of the founding fathers were slave owners. that does not make the constitution invalid or any less special.

darwin’s research does not become invalid because in matters of race and sex, he was a product of his time.

evolution happens. it’s provable. moths change color to adapt to a new environment.

we have no scientific way of knowing if it is God’s hand that makes the changes. but we can prove that the changes happen. that’s evolution. random chance, god’s tinkering, both are irrelevant to the proof that it does happen, and can be studied.

“but god made everything perfect!” of course he did. but was what you wore to the beach perfect for what you wear to the mountains tomorrow? because something is perfect, does not mean it will not have to change.

we have proven that the bible and the church are not right on everything, and science can refute doctrine and be right without it changing people’s faith. why do the 2 theories have to be mutually exclusive?
