Obama Tells Race Baiters TO Give It A Rest
Dear Leader has spoken, Obamazombies. It’s time to give up your “reality based” fantasies that opposition to his agenda is based on racism
President Obama said Friday that he did not believe his race was the cause of fierce criticism aimed at his administration in the contentious national debate over health care, but rather that the cause was a sense of suspicion and distrust many Americans have in their government.
Government, yes, in general, but Obama and Democrats in particular.
“Are there people out there who don’t like me because of race? I’m sure there are,” Mr. Obama told CNN. “That’s not the overriding issue here.”
I’m sure there are. I bet some Black folks do not like him because he is half white, too.
In five separate television interviews at the White House, Mr. Obama said he did not agree with former President Jimmy Carter’s assertion that racism was fueling the opposition to his administration. He described himself as just the latest in a line of presidents whose motives had been questioned because they were trying to enact major change.
While Obama may be completely unqualified for the job of Chief Executive, no one can claim he is stupid, and, I suspect he has seen the Carter comparisons, and wants little to do with the old fool.
Mr. Obama will appear on five Sunday talk shows — an unprecedented step for a president — to promote his health care plan. The television networks broadcast brief parts of their interviews on Friday evening, all of which focused on a question the White House has sought to avoid all week: Has race played a role in the debate?
He doesn’t actually have a health care plan. No wonder the networks started down different lines of questioning.
“Look, I said during the campaign there’s some people who still think through a prism of race when it comes to evaluating me and my candidacy. Absolutely,” Mr. Obama told NBC News. “Sometimes they vote for me for that reason; sometimes they vote against me for that reason.”
True that. Blacks voted for him at a rate of 96 percent over that white guy. Interesting that the media made no racism charges out of that.
“I think that what’s driving passions right now is that health care has become a proxy for a broader set of issues about how much government should be involved in our economy,” Mr. Obama told CBS News. “Even though we’re having a passionate disagreement here, we can be civil to each other, and we can try to express ourselves acknowledging that we’re all patriots?, we’re all Americans and not assume the absolute worst in people’s motives.”
Unfortunately, lawmakers on both sides tend to be tone deaf, so, at times, people have to be un-civil to be heard.
Anyhow, the president has spoken, lefties. Suck it up and deal with the reality of the policies, rather than your typical raaaaacism charges.

Our President Obama knows full well that he can say racism is a factor when it comes to him being in the white house and his policies without the wolves coming out. Sure this is about racism. The rally last weekend in D.C. proved the point. Racist signs everywhere you looked, older white people at least 99.9 percent with no people of color anywhere to be seen. Obama should and will get his healthcare passed and then next pass a sweeping immigration bill then the racists might have heart attacks or strokes. I love how Obama always gives his fans a code phrase to tell them he’s really cool with their rhetoric. He says “That’s not the overriding issue here.”
He could have “None of this has to do with my race” or “Anyone who believes that is completely wrong” …
Nope not the overriding issue which is the same as saying “some percentage of people below 50%”
So really Obama isn’t sure if it 10 or 20 or 30 or 40% but “Its not the overriding issue” …

I believe a lot of the division in the White House is based on race. The white people just don’t want to admit they still living in the dark ages of their forefathers and have hatred toward blacks and mexicans.
I don’t know why Americans still have hatred toward people of color. God made all of us in his own image,So that means that God is black, white, red,brown, yellow and all the colors of the nations. God said “The meek should inherit the Earth” It is finally coming to pass.
The rich are finally getting what they deserve, most of the rich got their money from lying, stealing and cheating the poor, middle class and elderly. I’m talking about the rich in general, no matter what color they are.
The white people, deedee? What do you mean, “the white people?” Perhaps I am just confused, but it sounds a lot like you are denigrating an entire race of people by their color.
I would also like to know what defines “rich”. No specific person, but just any of “the rich” in general would be fine.
Disregard the elderly rich, since they obviously lied, cheated, and stole from themselves, along with all the poor and middle class suckers.
Also omit anyone who achieved success through hard work, effort, and commitment. Just include the ones who are “finally getting what they deserve”.
I would also like to know what it is that they are “getting”?
Obama is smart to distance himself from all of this. Racism is an ugly subject, kept alive by ugly people and those who profit from it.
Although 52% of America (who voted) elected this man into office, am I to understand that any opposition by “the white people” to Obama’s ignorant and dangerous policies is racially motivated?
But why would “the white people” turn on Obama like this? Might it be because he lied during his campaign, and once in office has taken a hard left turn?
No, that would make too much sense. It must be that he’s a black man, since everyone knows how “the white people” think.
The illiterate “Ken” and the perpetual victim “Deedee” make poor representatives for their cause.
All arguments aside, the next elections will tell us if the president is getting his message across.
Obama himself displayed his own racism during the election by claiming that remarks about his “not looking like your regular candidate” – in other words, referencing his being biracial- were being made by his opponent. Well, not ONE WORD was ever said in regards to Obama’s race by anyone except Obama. I for one am weary of the childish accusation that anyone who opposes this administration’s policies is a racist. I oppose this man because he is clearly a Marxist, likely a Communist, is re-writing the Constitution to suit his Socialist agenda, clearly hates Israel, went on an apology tour and made our country look weak, stupid, and foolish, sees nothing immoral about the murders of unborn American citizens, and is promoting a health “reform” plan which will prove to be genocide for this nation’s senior citizens. His race only enters into the picture when he uses it to whip up support for himself. 96% of black voters voted for him. Are you seriously saying that his race had nothing to do with their vote? Millions of white people voted for him as well. Were they racists?

Jimmy Carter’s exact quote: “I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American.”
He didn’t say all. He didn’t say most. He said “overwhelming portion.”
Also, he wasn’t referring to those who just disagree with Obama, or those who no longer think he’s doing a good job as demonstrated by Obama’s drop in approval ratings. Carter specifically referred to those who have “intensely demonstrated animosity” toward President Obama.
Carter was right, and the press should be reporting the truth rather than being sensitive to Republican’s faux outrage.

Chris — I’m not sure what your point is. The people who intensely dislike Obama are motivated by race? I guess you’re trying to make Carter’s statement less crazy, but the truth is that you can’t offer proof. While there are certainly racists of all colors in this nation, it doesn’t follow that people who intensely dislike Obama are racists.
I think Obama is trying to have it both ways myself — saying yes, there are racists among his opponents, but trying to put himself above the race card players.
That’s not good enough in my book.
