Senate Puts Dagger in ACORN’s and Obama’s Heart

Posted on September 14, 2009

Maybe the Democrats in the Senate are finally getting the message as the People speak about funding an organization that should be investigated under the same laws they go after the Mafia with

The Senate voted Monday to block the Housing and Urban Development Department from giving grants to ACORN, a community organization under fire in several voter-registration fraud cases.

The 83-7 vote would deny housing and community grant funding to ACORN, which stands for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

The action came as the group is suffering from bad publicity after a duo of conservative activists posing as a prostitute and her pimp released hidden-camera videos in which ACORN employees in Baltimore gave advice on house-buying and how to account on tax forms for the woman’s income. Two other videos, aired frequently on media outlets such as the Fox News Channel, depict similar situations in ACORN offices in Brooklyn and Washington, D.C.

Good to see the Senate do important work involving the money take at the front of a jail cell. Compare that with the House, whose biggest interest is getting Joe Wilson to apologize on the Floor or be spanked.

Michelle Malkin has the list of the 7 who voted in favor of using public money to prop up the Mafia ACORN.

Meanwhile, ACORN is mulling a lawsuit against Fox News. Kinda like the fox suing the farmer because said fox stole chickens.

I ask you all to please not stop the ACLU, they serve a valuable purpose. Whenever I am not sure where to stand on an issue, I find out what their position is and just take the opposite side!

“Senate Puts Dagger In ACORN’s, And Obama’s, Heart”…..

That is a hilarious and welcome title to this article. This is only the beginning. Next up, uncover more of the criminality of more of his cronies, and begin impeachment proceedings against B-ho. By 2010, the American government will be a roiling, boiling mess of career politicians getting voted out forever, new legislation prohibiting former government elected official from becoming a lobbyist, and begin to wean all of Washington of lawyers. They are almost ALL lawyers. That is the problem.

Gillibrand (D-NY) and Casey (D-PA)surprised me as both may end up having their votes count against them. I believe Casey is safer since I do not believe he faces reelection until 2012 and this may die out by then. Gillibrand is probably trying to establish her liberal cred but that could backfire.

My two Illinois Senators were no surprise as neither has much to be concerned about as far as their voters are concerned.
