Conn. Media, Dodd Staffer Hurl Lewd Reference at Tea Party Participants

The rude, sexually lewd epithet “tea bagger” is the latest snickering, inside joke the Old Media and the left are playing on the average, everyday Americans that have gone out of their way to join the many thousands of on-going Tea Party protests across the country. It also looks like Senator Chris Dodd’s campaign is utilizing the rude name, as well if a report in the Hartford Courant is correct.
First the Courant itself uses the name calling twice in the same piece and then Dodd campaign spokesman Jay Howser joined the rudeness by doing the same thing.
Howser went even farther calling the millions of Americans that have attended Tea Party events in every state of the union “extreme” and the “far right wing.”
“The great thing about the far right wing, extreme group of tea-baggers who have entertained us throughout the summer is that their idea of free speech is akin to shouting down opposition, drowning out debate, and in Connecticut, encouraging Sen. Dodd to commit suicide with painkillers and alcohol,” Howser said. “No responsible American, regardless of their political beliefs, thinks that this fringe element has anything valuable to offer to our country’s discourse or debate.”
So, Senator Dodd and his lackey think that only the right wants the opposition to be shut up, eh? Hmmm, maybe he should have paid closer attention to his president who yelled out at a rally that he wants his opponents to stop talking, get out of his way and let him just do whatever he wants to do?
“I don’t want the folks who created the mess do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.”
So, Senator Dodd, it looks like your president is as petulant and hateful of debate and democracy as you claim the Tea Party goers are. In fact, he’s worse because as president he is personally charged with upholding a higher standard.
On his website Dodd’s opponent in the upcoming Senate election in Connecticut, Rob Simmons, is castigating Dodd for his ignorant treatment of the American people.
Insulting Americans who dare question Big Government policies with pornographic innuendo is wrong and out of bounds.
