van-jones-salute Van Jones in communist salute?

Gateway Pundit:

Yesterday, news broke out that Barack Obama’s communist Green Czar was a 9-11 Truther. The administration much later in the day released a statement saying Van Jones was “not now or ever” involved in the 9-11 Truther movement.
Jones said the petition he signed in 2004 did not reflect his views and that he did not carefully review the language in the petition before agreeing to add his name..

Not true.
This article at Rense.com from 2002 links Van Jones to the 9-11 Truther movement at its infancy:

More:

Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), the revolutionary group formed by self-described “communist” and “rowdy black nationalist” Van Jones, held a vigil in Oakland, California, “mourning the victims of U.S. imperialism around the world” on the night after Sept. 11, 2001.

….

Jones also founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, which joined in the vigil according to an Ella Baker Center press release from 2001. The press release contained this passage that quoted Jones:

“Anti-Arab hostility is already reaching a fever pitch as pundits and common people alike rush to judgment that an Arab group is responsible for this tragedy,” said Van Jones, national executive director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. “We fear that an atmosphere is being created that will result in official and street violence against Arab men, women and children.”

“Reclaiming Revolution” also blamed the U.S. for 9/11. A passage on page 45 (27 of the PDF file) reads:

That night, STORM and the other movement leaders expressed sadness and anger at the deaths of innocent working class people. We were angry, first and foremost, with the U.S. government, whose worldwide aggression had engendered such hate across the globe that working class people were not safe at home. We honored those who had lost their lives in the attack — and those who would surely lose their lives in subsequent U.S. attacks overseas.

Enough lies and excuses from this self professed communist in the Obama administration. He needs to step down or be fired!

Michelle Malkin has a great roundup.

Update: More, more, and more.

Will Obama throw him under the bus already?

If Van Jones is truly a communist, the powers to be need to gather all the evidence to enable them to take this to a congressional hearing. Try this Van Jones for what he is:a communist block orginizer. Please America see what this administration is about. Study history and see what happened during the cold war..and see what the obama adminstration is trying to do.

Hussein Obama is the real radical that hired Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, etc.

Hussein Obama needs to be asked to step down. He is unfit to be the US President. He is anti-American and an economic illiterate.

I figured out why Obama hates the United States. He never had someone in his family fight or die for this country. That is also why he hires people that hate the United States as well.

    @Ken Dennison

Ken, we don’t actually have congressional hearings nor charges for people who are communists in the 21st century. However if you display symptoms which infer you believe it still the 1960s we may put you in a padded room.

    Are you a betting person?

LMAO, “he’s a commie, he’s a nazi, he’s a socialist”…it’s all right wing propaganda and it’s clearly another lie by the right wing, not big deal, but it sure makes them look stupid when they bleat out the company line. You people are idiots.

Jones says that he first became politically radicalized in the aftermath of the deadly April 1992 Los Angeles riots which erupted shortly after four L.A. police officers who had beaten the infamous Rodney King were exonerated in court.“I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th,” says Jones, who is black, “and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist.”

Jones was arrested during the L.A. riots and spent a short time in jail. “I met all these young radical people of color,” he recalls, “I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’ I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.”

By the late 1990s, Jones was a committed Marxist-Leninist-Maoist who viewed police officers as the arch-enemies of black people, and who loathed capitalism for allegedly exploiting nonwhite minorities worldwide. He became a leading member of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), a now-defunct Bay Area Marxist-Maoist collective that was staffed by members of various local nonprofits, a number of whom had ties to the Ella Baker Center.

In the early 2000s, Jones and STORM were active in the anti-Iraq War demonstrations organized by International ANSWER, a front group for the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party.

Jones’s public admission to being a communist is hardly “right wing propaganda and lies”

Never have I witnessed more negative rhetoric from the GOP than these last 8 months. Between so called leaders begging for Obama to fail to questioning his birth, his politics, and creating outright lies like death panels to justify their opinion against health care reform.

The fact of the matter is this country’s stereo type has changed. White American majority in 10 years will no longer prevail. We will have blacks as president, women, Indians, Hispanic.

If ever there were reasons to vote against anything the GOP espouses just listen to their congresspeople, senators and then come to conclusions that these people are rationale. They are angry, the party of no, and should get over the fact that their party is in complete denial and has no platform that is alluring to anyone other than their ultra right wing.

We need to get rid of OBAMA before the USA is totally Bankrupt. His party is filled with tax cheats and self serving nitwits whom know nothing about how to run a business. If we let OBAMA cram this healthcare bill down out throats we will really be in big trouble.
