Unsurprisingly, this shocks me not in the least. Offends me, yes. Disgusts me, yes. Shocks me? Not so much. I have pretty much become used to this type of insanity from the Lefties (h/t John Hawkins)
The attack on Glenn Beck continues by the internet crowd calling for a boycott of Beck’s advertisers. Can we now boycott the internet for making false accusations? The accusation that “Glenn Beck raped and murdered a girl in 1990″ has apparently gone… well, viral. A whole website has sprung up because of it. glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com Warning: Not Safe For Work.
In the age of the internet, false accusations are common. Glenn Beck has yet to respond to the “Claims”. (Can you blame him?) A claim that is being made on the I-report feature of CNN’s website. CNN is probably loving the traffic that it is receiving to its “unedited, unfiltered” news site. Glenn Beck formally hosted a show on CNN before moving to Fox News. Nobody seemed to mind him when he was on CNN.
Like John, I am not going to link to any of the psychopaths who are hailing this as some sort of proof that Glenn Beck is a deviant. Take a look
I suppose I could go looking for the original copy, but, why bother? Notice anything strange? Like the address, which happens to be the same as the house the Duke Lacrosse players, falsely accused of rape, had their party? This report was filed for the date when the accuser was checked in the hospital, 3/14/06, when Crystal Mangum was in the hospital. Gwendolyn Sutton was the Durham, NC, police officer who was on scene at the hospital. Notice the “occur from” date in top right. Yup, night of the Duke party. John Shelton is a Durham PD Sgt involved with the case.
Good luck with a cell phone being worth only $300 in 1990. Furthermore, Sanyo did not make them in 1990. The first entered the cellular phone business in 1994. The players were also accused of stealing her phone and money, originally.
All in all, this is a pathetic attempt on the part of the left to demean Glenn Beck. Of course, if you go to the site, you find

Not since Joe McCarthy shuffled off this mortal coil in 1957 has anyone made a career by accusing people of being communists. Glenn Beck has resurrected the practice. Not only has he found a cabal of secret communists, he has uncovered an entire communist corporation chock full of commies. The name of this company, you may ask?
THE NATIONAL BROADCASTING COMPANY!
You heard me right, boys and girls. The network that gave us Uncle Miltie and Ma Perkins has apparently been secretly sending subliminal messages endorsing Marxist doctrine since it was formed in 1926. This would make perfect sense to me. Every time I watched the Rockford Files I had an unexplainable desire to read Das Kapital. But seriously, folks. Twenty years after the fall of the Soviet Union, red baiting not only seems silly, it’s also kind of nuts. It’s not-at-all surprising that an organization would give this idiot a forum (after all, he’s on FOX Noise). What’s really stunning is the fact that his ratings are relatively high and that so many Americans take his word as gospel.
All kidding aside, half-witted ideologues are a dime a dozen. What separates Glenn Beck from his peers is the fact that he is doing some serious damage to the country he professes to love so much. For all of the comparisons to the Nazis he likes to make with respect to Liberals, Beck’s program has much in common with Adolf Hitler’s 1923 screed, Mein Kampf. Eighty-six years ago, Hitler attempted to arouse the anger of his fellow Germans by spouting half truths and utter nonsense – exactly what Glenn Beck is doing in 2009. So much of the insane dialogue that has been spewed forth at these Town Hall meetings across the country in recent weeks might have been lifted straight from a transcript of Beck’s program.
Beck and his strange ilk have done the impossible. They have deflected the blame for America’s current economic distress from where it should be aimed toward a man who is trying to clean up the mess that was created – in large part – by people like Glenn Beck. They have also let loose with a vengeance the very worst angels of the American nature. Opening Pandora’s box was relatively easy. Closing it might prove to be a bit of a problem.

Beck is getting a taste of his own medicine. While it is rather low, you misunderstand the intention here. It’s not to paint Beck as a rapist/murderer, but to illustrate how easy it is to paint someone as whatever-you’d-like when you use the same type of innuendo does. “I’m not saying Obama’s a socialist, I’m just saying he hasn’t proven to me that he isn’t.” Those aren’t Glenn’s words exactly, but they are exactly what he does every day.

Found Beck to be accurate generally and inaccurate most often at micro points. Example mixing up figures on public debt and global debt leveraged up the ying-yang. Beck’s shows are done live, mistakes happen.
On issue of Obama and Czars it is clear many of them are extremists who would have found the FBI knocking on their door a few years ago. It is a concern Obama is pushing government fingers into 40% of the economy. It is a fact the Stimulus bill is more political than helpful.
Is Obama a racist. In the context of evidence, and criterion used to define it for a white: Yes. He sat in Wright’s Black Liberation Theology Black Panther’s invested racist rhetoric for 20 years.

As an immigrant from Canada I am well aware how the Communist Party radicals infiltrated to morph the New Democratic Party by the early 1960’s. “Progressives” campaign of smear tactics in those days often involved mass sending of letters to the editor, picked up by street rags like the Georgia Strait (Vancouver), a mainstream journalist or two, to a major newspaper or two, The Vancouver Sun, or Toronto Sun, then on to CBC or CTV. Many opposed to introduction of nationalized health care in Canada were smeared this way.
Watching Obama’s rise reminded me of how a zealot filled media can Manchurianize a pig, but it still is a pig. Van Jones a street thug, jailed radical is but a tip of a very large Obama iceberg that Beck has exposed.

And you say it is a fake address used by Lacrosse Player? What if Glenn knew one of them and was at their house? I did read Glenn was in that area on that date, and that he was listed on the crime sheet, and worked at a station near where that woman lived. They even had a police picture of Beck.
I can’t believe that just because you are rich and famous you can cover up a horrible action like this. It’s insane…how is this man on the air? Not with these questions hanging over him.
If he’s not guilty and has nothing to hide he should issue a statement. Glenn, America waits.
