Obama BC Debate: Born In 1957 When Hawaii Was A Territory?
I’ve said before, many, many times, that I enjoy the basic debate over Obama’s BC. The debate where I wonder what is on it, since he and other Democrats are fighting so hard to keep from releasing it. I have also stated that I believe he is a natural born US citizen till proven otherwise. Furthermore, I have stated that some of the “Birthers” go as wonky and loony as some of the Twoofers. In the following case, World Net Daily goes plain stupid
If President Obama were indeed born in Hawaii, was it while the islands were a territory of the United States?
A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that the president be a “natural born” citizen – appeared today when Obama’s official MySpace page declared his age is 52, thus placing his birth year at 1957 instead of 1961 as has been claimed.
That would mean he would have been born during the archipelago’s time as a territory of the U.S., the islands’ status from about 1900 until statehood in 1959.
First of all, surely the birth date is simply a typing mistake by Obama or whoever put the MySpace page together. Or, perhaps they did it on purpose to mess with people.
Second, the NY Times pulled this same “we’re just wondering” silliness regarding John McCain and him being born in the Panama Canal Zone (shockingly, soon after the DU pulled it.) Twice. The relevant point is that anyone born in territories under the jurisdiction of US law, the Panama Canal Zone and the Hawaiian Territories being two of them, are considered Natural Born Citizens, eligible to be President of the United States. Someone born in Guam would be eligible. Someone born in Puerto Rico would be eligible. Interestingly, if someone was born on a military post in Germany, they would be a US citizen, but, not “natural born.”
World Net Daily, quite frankly, does an even worse job of discussing this issue than the Times did. Neither NY Times article answered the question of whether McCain was eligible, and, had he won, I believe we would have seen a movement from the Left pushing that he wasn’t eligible. Regardless, WND doesn’t even provide a maybe/maybe no argument: they just throw it at the wall in a way to get people riled up.
Even supposing Obama was born in Hawaii in 1957, he is a natural born citizen. Try again, WND.

Under the logic of those who want to make the 1957 date an issue, Barry Goldwater was not a natural born citizen and was therefore ineligible to be President of the United States.
It doesn’t matter where Barry was born, or how old he actually is – though it would be bizarre to find out he’s been lying about his age. He’s not “natural born” as his status at birth was governed by the UK. I don’t care what you’re definition of “natural born” is, there’s no way someone in that scenario can be considered such.
Barry’s only out is if he’s been lying about who daddy really was.
1. Two versions of the myspace page from 2007 had his age more in line with what we’re told. It was probably a math error or someone trying to mess with people.
2. Nothing Henrick said matters because he’s “Henrick” and not a legal scholar. The only way for Henrick to be proved right or wrong is for a court case or for several legal scholars to weigh in. The Henricks don’t have the means to get either of those.
3. It’s possible to disavow all “birther theories” and *at the same time* use this issue to discredit the MSM. The fact that NRO, HotAir, et al can’t figure that but instead help the MSM while hurting BHO opponents doesn’t exactly speak to their intelligence. If anyone wants to discredit the MSM, help me push the fact that they’ve continually lied about the facts of this matter.
Henrick — only if you disregard the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution and the rulings on citizenship from the Supreme Court since it was adopted.
Indeed, if one actually believes in the Constitution, there is no way that Barack Obama is NOT a natural born US citizen.
If O were born in 1957 (which I highly doubt) *in Hawaii* then Barack Obama Sr. could not have been his biological father. O Sr. came to America with my father in 1959.
Why do you lefties always say, “there is no way that Barry is NOT a natural born US citizen? He has spent close to or over, by now, to shut his whole background down to anyone looking for information. Why would he do this? If the guy were legit, he would simply bring out the BC and say I told you so. However, he is not a legal citizen, and will never prove his detractors wrong. He is not qualified to be President because he has not proved he is qualified. Period.

If O were born in 1957 in Hawaii, than Stanley Dunham could not have been his biological mother, either, because she was a fourteen year old girl living with her parents in Seattle.
So if his father wasn’t his father, and his mother wasn’t his mother, this is like the virgin birth SQUARED! Do we need any more proof that BHO is actually the Antichrist? Who could doubt it now?
I have an internet profile that states I am over 200 years old. Do you believe it? I figure it was done either by a hacker or a computer glitch.

Some people sure want to put their own twist on Nat’l born. Stanley was not old enough to give citizenship and Obama SR is British citizen. Obama maybe citizen but not Nat’l born so stop with the lies. A lot of people have been paid off but Obama will crash, he must feel the walls closing on him. I wonder when he will run to Kenya to avoid being prosecuted for High Treason. He will fit in well there. His fight with the CIA and Isreal will cause him to sweat. Maybe Obama’s smoking will cause him a major stroke or heart attack. Maybe we should all send him a pack.
Just to go into kindergarden you have to have a BC. Every thing any one signs up for in America has to have proof. And each time you do sign up, a folder of records are kept. Even the little league baseball, or BoyScouts, or shots given in school, not just to prove your birth status but mostly your age. When a person runs for POTUS, are you trying to tell me that there is not a folder on Obama. [edited]!!!!! He is hiding something and it has to be about where he was born. Nothing else would hurt him. I guess he went to college by himself. No one has ever known him, or even seen him. How about somebody else’s graduating records from college. Someone will surely come forth and know the truth. But I don’t think he will last too long in office any way. He’ll be gone soon. But I bet one thing for sure, this will never happen again. Right now Obama is going after the CIA. He is going to pi%% off a lot of people who will have the smarts to go get the truth. Especially from the CIA.
Actually,President Obama is now 53 instead of 49.He is younger to me by 5 years and not 9 years.He was born on 4th August 1957.
I wrote Barack Obama’s biography in 2009.In that book,I begin with these words:
“Barack Obama was born on 4th August 1957,as the son of Barack Obama,Sr.(1925-1983) and Ann Dunham(1929-2005) and the grandson of Hussein Obama(1891-1959)& Shana Obama(1898-1957) and Stanley Dunham(1900-1992)& Madelyn Dunham(1906-2001).His father was born a Muslim,but became an atheist after believing in his conveniences.He died in a car accident in 1983 aged 58.His mother was born a Christian,but she too became an atheist.She died of cervical cancer in 2005 aged 76.Like his parents,Obama is also an atheist.”
Obama even now looks like a 53-year old man.
