MSNBC Idiot: Is “socialist” the new “N-word”?

WTH? This guy is a freakin idiot! Is this guy freakin serious? He should use a dictionary and look up the word “socialist”. Nothing said about calling protesters un-American political terrorists in their discussion of political discourse here. Anyway, I’ll call just about every Democrat holding office in DC a socialist right now no matter what their skin tone or ethnic background is.

Today I want to talk about a word that we’re hearing more and more, and that’s the word socialist. You hear it from a lot of conservatives these days, that’s usually critiquing the President, or more broadly Democrats. And while that’s certainly a legitimate critique, there certainly is an ideology that can and should be critiqued at certain times, it also some times is just a kind of a generic conservative bludgeoning tool. And that’s alright, too, because you hear it on the Democratic side as well: rightwingnut, what have you.

But what concerns me is when in some of those town hall meetings including the one that we saw in Missouri recently where there were jokes made about lynching, etc., you start to wonder whether in fact the word socialist is becoming a code word, whether or not socialist is becoming the new N-word for frankly for some angry upset birthers and others. I hope that’s not the case, but it sure does say to you what David Brooks said the other day on T.V. which is that more credible conservatives have to stand up and say that there’s a line that has to be drawn, that there’s a line of responsibility that’s important, and that extends to the words that we choose including how [to] choose even legitimate words like socialist.

Noel Sheppard:

So now that we have a black president, words that have been used in our country for decades — words that have real meaning — suddenly stand for something else altogether that includes a racial overtone?

What kind of nonsense is this?

Are we headed to a point in our history when any criticism about this president will be deemed racist?

Allahpundit:

Let’s address his question with a thought experiment. If the very caucasian President Hillary had pushed through an $800 billion stimulus atrocity, taken control of General Motors and fired the company’s chairman, passed cap-and-trade, and then made her move on universal health care, you think any angry conservatives might have dropped the S-bomb on her? Have conservatives ever been known to call Hillary Clinton a socialist in the past, perchance? Then there’s your answer.

Meanwhile, the socialist propaganda continues.

Uh, the assassination of MLK, JFK and RFK pretty much answers that question.

Its interesting to note that a president by his very image elicits very negative comments and labeling. I for one saw a historic moment in a very divided country happen on Nov. 4th.

We are now seeing the “true face” of
America…..its on display for the world – labeling…arguing…mean spirited, negativity. Its understandable, but pathetic.

What are you talking about? Calling someone a socialist has nothing to do with race, and this anchor is an idiot for suggesting it.

I do not like to call people idiots since I certainly have no way to determine their intelligence. I will say the man sounds like a fool as he obviously is speaking without knowledge. I hope most Americans have enough sense of their own to see through his nonsense. I am afraid their will always be those who are to far gone into a fantasy world that has little or nothing to do with reality.

When the SEIU people called Kenneth Gladney the n-word in St. Louis, what was that a “code word” for?

MSNBC is a code word for ‘uninformed racist reactionary.’

This fellow is another one of those black history revisionists, that’s all.

If you don’t want to bother with doing real work and study, just get high and make [edited] up.

He would probably be just as vociferous about the supermarket where the black olives being hidden inside a can while the green olives are allowed to be in jars where they can see outside…
