New Label for Obamacare Protesters: Political Terrorists

Out: Mobs. In: Political terrorists!

The recent attacks by Republican leaders and their ideological fellow-travelers on the effort to reform the health-care system have been so misleading, so disingenuous, that they could only spring from a cynical effort to gain partisan political advantage. By poisoning the political well, they’ve given up any pretense of being the loyal opposition. They’ve become political terrorists, willing to say or do anything to prevent the country from reaching a consensus on one of its most serious domestic problems.

Lefty definition: Protesting is only free speech if it is done by the left. If you are protesting against the left, then it is terrorism.

Update: The Anchoress got called a terrorist last night! I think the left are the ones disrupting discussion on this topic.

Did I fall asleep and wake up in the old USSR? Since when is considered unpatriotic,anti-American, and/or terroristic to disagree with the suggested policies of another political party? Thousands have given their lives to protect this freedom. In their honor, we need to debate these issues on the basis of facts and figures and with a little respect for one another’s opinion while we celebrate our right of free speech and expression.
OK, I sound like someone’s old granny(which I am) but this whole thing is being conducted with the maturity of a playground dispute. Maybe a little dignity displayed at the upper levels of gov’t would trickle down to the rest of us.
