Should We Dare Pelosi to Bring Obamacare to a Vote?
Posted on July 24, 2009
I don’t know, but I think she’s bluffing. Should we call her bluff? 41 Dems and all 177 Republicans would defeat the monster, but can we count on all the Republicans? The rumor is we have 40 to 45 hard no votes with moderate Dems. With all the branches the Dems would have to climb out on, would it be worth the gamble? On one hand, there is a victory in not having the vote before the recess. On the other hand, a vote that defeats the bill would be an even better setback. Should we call their bluff, or is Pelosi’s confidence for real?
The seven Blue Dogs on the Energy and Commerce Committee stormed out of a Friday meeting with their committee chairman, Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), saying Waxman had been negotiating in bad faith over a number of provisions Blue Dogs demanded be changed in the stalled healthcare bill.
“I’ve been lied to,” Blue Dog Coalition Co-Chairman Charlie Melancon (D-La.) said on Friday. “We have not had legitimate negotiations…
If the two sides cannot reach an agreement, the only hope for passage of the bill in the House will be to go straight to the floor, an option leaders shied away from endorsing but said was an option.
But the Blue Dogs issued dire warnings to leaders contemplating that approach.“Waxman simply does not have votes in committee and process should not be bypassed to bring the bill straight to floor,” Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark.), the lead Blue Dog negotiator, said on Friday. “We are trying to save this bill and trying to save this party.”
Maybe we should push for the vote. You tell me. ??????

I say BRING IT ON!
I’m praying that more people wake up and put an end to the tyranny of being forced to pay for such an unethical plan.
I’m under the belief that Obamacare does not have the votes today and will have less votes tomorrow.

Hogtrashhd get this to your pro life friends http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2009/07/webcast_on_abor.php It is not enough to stop Obamacare this is just a beginning for some people. Obamacare is not the disease it is the symptom.
I know the name of this site is stop the ACLU, but should’nt someone be it the ACLU, or another legal entity put a stop to this subversion of our constitutional rights right now? We need a order of cease and desist in “doing harm” by this congress and president. The government is prohibited from competing against private business. This goes against our rights and freedoms on so many levels. We need some legal help on a major level that is big enough to give Washington pause on behalf of the people.
Obamacare is not socialism, it is fascism.
Nobody will tell me what treatment I can get.
Nobody will “counsel” me on dying, except my friends and family.
Nobody will tell me I’m too old and send me home with “pain killers” to die (see town hall meeting with Jane Strum).
85% of Americans are happy with their health insurance. Do not believe scare tactic of 45-50 million uninsured. More like 20 million when you omit those who can afford insurance but choose not to get any and un-Americans.
Oligarchy=government ruled by a powerful few
Democracy=government ruled by a majority
Republic=government limited by law
America is a Republic and the essence of freedom is the proper limitation of government. Freedom is no free.

Can we dare Pelosi to jump in front of a bus instead? After seeing the video of the Santa Cruz city counsel, I now understand how she keeps getting reelected.
For the first time in my life I can find no good in this administration placed in office November 4, 2008 (questionably). Obama wants the United States to fall. He has caused more discontent than any president we have had in years (including Clinton, and that is saying a great deal). He has surrounded himself with such low life. He and his wife hate whites and are still holding on to stories of slavery. Slavery was not a good thing, but our generation and previous generation were not the culprits. We, whites and blacks work together as friends and help each other. I resent his attempting to break down good relationships.
He has done things I never realized a president could do (getting into the car business, banking, now healthcare. More government is not the answer.
What about the czars and whatever the heck the others are called: let’s try calling them what the are – Communist! We are in a mess, but will fight to the very end.
The ACLU is also a pain in the A–!
