DeMint Vs. Obama: You Can’t Back Up Your Utopian Promises
Posted on July 20, 2009
Is a leader emerging to take on Obama’s insanity? DeMint sticks to principles and stands up where others are wish-washy in the shadows. Today I was flipping through the radio dial and ran up on NPR. DeMint had apparently told some activist that if we can stop Obama on his socialist healthcare it could be his Waterloo. They really wanted to play Obama’s response to DeMint defending his healthcare over and over. He stated it wasn’t about him. Out of the other side of his mouth he said we have talked this topic to death and we need immediate action, or in other words let’s not debate this important topic, just blindly pass the monster. Anyway, DeMint fires back:
Yes, indeed the American people don’t trust this President’s track record on trillion dollar programs rushed through Congress with no time to read them, much less discuss them. Poll numbers are reflecting this as well. Slow this train down! DeMint, you’re sounding kinda presidential.

I think Mr. DeMint is being presumptuous but it sure won’t hurt to stop the Democrats on a bad policy like the health care they plan.
If the states can’t afford it on their own then how is the federal government that has more overhead going to afford it. If the state can afford it then it is up to them to decide if they want to do it and that without paying the federal government as a useless middleman.
