If we asked a ceo or a share holder if they or somebody in their immediate family would take any job offered by their company of which they are – necessarily – so proud, what might they say ? They would probably point out that their company offers some of the indispensable chances at earning a living to many of their hard-working compatriots, and that can’t be dismissed just because it is not going to make these employees rich. Those same business leaders would elegantly avoid to point out that their own position in life, achievements, assets, connections, etc., would make that scenario unrealistic.

Do the millions of uninsured deserve their fate ? Do their children deserve it too ? Is it their problem alone ? I suppose all sides would (publicly) agree it is not. The disagreement is on how to do it … One could ask: what takes them so long ? They’d say it’s the other party that prevents the implementation of their thoughtful ideas.

Could it be Jack Swigert was right, up there in space, well beyond his intended meaning ?

Is a doctor and researcher trying to be politically efficient, when asking such a question, or ? Is that all he would say, or is it the media, who truncated his contribution ? Or is it me, who didn’t try to make absolutely certain I knew for sure his actual opinion ?

For a university professor at a reasonable school in 2009, on a “Choice” health plan, removing 2 earwax plugs with two shots of – presumably sterilized – water cost Cygna over $100.00. A routine cholesterol & blood test: nearly $1,000.00.

Is the plan the President advocates going to be mandatory, in the sense that people could not drop it at any point later, if they wanted to switch to another, private provider ? Why don’t I see/hear that stated clearly ?
