Obama Would Not Pledge His Family to His Own Healthcare Plan

This should really tell America something about Obama’s healthcare plan!
President Obama struggled to explain today whether his health care reform proposals would force normal Americans to make sacrifices that wealthier, more powerful people — like the president himself — wouldn’t face.
The probing questions came from two skeptical neurologists during ABC News’ special on health care reform, “Questions for the President: Prescription for America,” anchored from the White House by Diane Sawyer and Charles Gibson.Dr. Orrin Devinsky, a neurologist and researcher at the New York University Langone Medical Center, said that elites often propose health care solutions that limit options for the general public, secure in the knowledge that if they or their loves ones get sick, they will be able to afford the best care available, even if it’s not provided by insurance.
Devinsky asked the president pointedly if he would be willing to promise that he wouldn’t seek such extraordinary help for his wife or daughters if they became sick and the public plan he’s proposing limited the tests or treatment they can get.
The president refused to make such a pledge, though he allowed that if “it’s my family member, if it’s my wife, if it’s my children, if it’s my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.["]
Good enough for America but not Obama’s family? I don’t think so. There is a simple word that sums this up…hypocrite. Hot Air says it is Obama’s Dukakis moment!
I agree with Chicago Boyz:
We should create a legal requirement that political elites have to use the same system they foist on everyone else. They should have to wait for hours in doctor’s offices. They should have to wait weeks or months for test[s]. They should be fobbed off on emergency rooms if they get sick over the weekend. They should be denied any hail-mary test , medications and procedures. They should get the entire politically-managed health care experience.

Basically, Obama opposes his own plan, but only for his own family. Obama wants his family to get the very best medical care, but won’t use his own plan. In other words, his plan will miss the mark on being anywhere near the best. Idiot Socialist! Good for thee but not for me.

This is perfect…here is the soft underbelly of the beast, exposed! The standard liberal moonbat such as Obama is an elitist who would NEVER live anywhere near the vast majority of his constituency nor subject his family to them in an ordinary public school or be limited to the health care he mandates for them.
Knowing the condition of some of his poorer family members, I am sure he is an elitist and believes himself to be entitled, like Nancy Pelosi and her cannery serfs…Al Gore talks about conservation of energy and spends it like a drunken Christmas display, er, oops, Democrats hate Christmas, scratch that!
I am sure you also will NOT publish my comment in full but will do the same hatchet job you did on the Presidents comment.You cut off his statement at mid sentence and then put words in his mouth that he never said. Are you so desperate that you will sell your soul to the devil to win? When will you religious HYPOCRITES learn that lies do not grorify God. Please explain how every Republican ex-President and every Republican congressman
enjoy a GOVERNMENT health insurance and will not give it up for anything but if the same

I am OK if we take away “GOVERNMENT health insurance” for congress critters and ex-presidents. I believe that we would have a more competitive, cheaper health insurance market if those people had to buy on the open market. Oh, and by the way, we try to “glorify” God, not “grorify” Him.

Mr. Arisi misses the point, as do most one sided, liberals. The “Government Health Insurance” enjoyed by ALL Congress, Senate and Presidents (past and present) regardless of party affiliation is NOT the same proposed health plan the Obama administration is trying to force on to the rest of us Americans. Have you not seen the results of socialized medicine in Europe? You, too, will be sorry if this one goes through. Will you repent of your ignorance then?
And, as far as being hypocrites, once again, liberals hold the mark on that one with both hands tight. A fine example is the latest ploy to abolish the death penalty for CRIMINALS who have been put on death row by their peers because of their heinous crimes, most often murder. Are not liberals murdering INNOCENT babies daily with abortion? Ye hypocrites! Justify all you want. You WILL be accountable to the Almighty God one day.

Ladies and gentlemen,
If we asked a ceo or a share holder if they or somebody in their immediate family would take any job offered by their company of which they are – necessarily – so proud, what might they say ? They would probably point out that their company offers some of the indispensable chances at earning a living to many of their hard-working compatriots, and that can’t be dismissed just because it is not going to make these employees rich. Those same business leaders would elegantly avoid to point out that their own position in life, achievements, assets, connections, etc., would make that scenario unrealistic.
Do the millions of uninsured deserve their fate ? Do their children deserve it too ? Is it their problem alone ? I suppose all sides would (publicly) agree it is not. The disagreement is on how to do it … One could ask: what takes them so long ? They’d say it’s the other party that prevents the implementation of their thoughtful ideas.
Could it be Jack Swigert was right, up there in space, well beyond his intended meaning ?

Is a doctor and researcher trying to be politically efficient, when asking such a question, or ? Is that all he would say, or is it the media, who truncated his contribution ? Or is it me, who didn’t try to make absolutely certain I knew for sure his actual opinion ?

For a university professor at a reasonable school in 2009, on a “Choice” health plan, removing 2 earwax plugs with two shots of – presumably sterilized – water cost Cygna over $100.00. A routine cholesterol & blood test: nearly $1,000.00.
Is the plan the President advocates going to be mandatory, in the sense that people could not drop it at any point later, if they wanted to switch to another, private provider ? Why don’t I see/hear that stated clearly ?
That was a political answers, which is not answering the question asked. He NEVER answered the questions. Only rambled over and over again about nothing.
Obama Government Might Need Our Assets Soon: I can see it coming. After Obama has most everyone covered by taxpayer subsidized health insurance, Obama will say, “People, it does not make sense that government health insurance is paying to make poor people healthy, then have those people end up on the street to get sick again. People, government needs to provide taxpayer subsidized housing for at least 12 million people in the U. S. Tonight I wish to bring to your attention that a few thousand Americans own huge amounts of land in the U.S. not being used for anything, while millions go homeless. What I propose is a non-use tax to be levied against landowners that own non-performing property: this tax will help pay for low-income housing. In addition I propose a valuation tax on middle income Americans so they can also help poor and disadvantaged Americans. Just think, you will be part of my Revolution. Did I promise you Change?”
Have any of you morons who drone on and on about how horrible health care is in Europe even BEEN to Europe, much less used the health care system there? I HAVE and I can tell you for a fact that it is INFINTELY better than what we have here, and at a lower cost! Quit being the lemmings that corporate media is making you into just so the corportate interests (i.e. PROFITS) are not undermined. God forbid we should help people get medical benefits and save everyone money and instead let the insurance companies and for-profit hospitals and pharmacutical companies continue to rake in their record profits! Yeah, that’s the way to a better country. Did the last eight years teach you NOTHING?!
I think this is a dodge but I would have liked a more direct “will you put you & your family and congress in this plan?” But Congress did vote down an amendment that would have included them! This is an insult to we the people. People write your representatives and call. We just can’t let them steamroll over us again.

You ever notice that blacks will support obama no matter what. Most of those blacks that voted for him was out of loyality to skin color they wanted black man in office so bad no matter if he was weak or bad. Even if he did most horrible things he will never lose black support no matter what even if he molested some kid which he didnt. So on every forum most of the people who stick up for obama are mostly blacks and some whites but thats dropping because obama is all talk and now he just so weak he never be able to fight his own party and he already appeases too much i mean alot of countries dont fear him they think he weak so they push him over. Any country that opposes obama he will just give up and give in to demands he done it so many times. HE is weak like carter
