Stimulus Spending – $8,556 for Teen Pregnancy Prevention
During the debate over the much touted “Porkulus” package we heard the President claim how many hundreds of thousands of jobs it would create. That said however those jobs are failing to materialize and will continue to fail to materialize as long as those funds are being directed to lost-cause type programs.
For example, the city of Cincinnati, OH is setting aside a block grant of $8,556 for a program to prevent teen pregnancy and violence. How many jobs is that supposed to create or save Mr. President?!?
From Cincinnati.com:
The list of local applications for the Community Development Block Grants also includes $61,200 for sidewalks in Forest Park, $93,000 for air conditioners in Sharonville and $56,008 for playground renovations in Hamilton.
In Woodlawn and Lincoln Heights, taxpayers will spend $100,000 to resurface one-seventh of a mile of Prairie Avenue, and install curbs for 20 houses along the way – a project that Rev. Jesse O’Conner hopes will stop the flooding in his basement.
Isn’t it nice to know that taxpayers in Alaska are helping to fund a project on Prairie Avenue that will help the Rev. Jesse O’Conner from having water in his basement? Where are the Separation of Church and State Nazis on this one?!?
I’m sorry to inform all of you who thought that the President’s pet pork barrel spending program that he and his Democrat colleagues in the House and Senate rammed though so fast that no one, and I mean NO ONE, had an opportunity to read it before voting on it; I’m sorry but very few jobs are going to be created. And as for saving jobs? Where?!? Ohio is hemorrhaging jobs by the day and I’m sorry but those sidewalk projects and street resurfacing projects will not replace a job at a GM plant, Chrysler plant, dealership, or support company. They are short-term feel good BS infrastructure pork spending. Nothing more. Conceived to make you think that something is being done when in reality it is nothing more than a band aid attempting to dress a sucking chest wound.
So thank you America for voting for this feel-good do-nothing BS that is leading us down a path which is probably going to take the next 5 Presidents to clean up. Just think, he’s just getting started. He has another 1,321 days left in office. I shutter at the damage that he can do in his time left.

How much does one teenage pregnancy cost your country? I bet it’s more than $8,556, so the program only has to succeed once to be a win. Providing it’s not one of those dumb abstinence only deals it’ll probably be even more effective than that.
Why do you hate the reverend so? I’m sure the whole separation of church and state thing doesn’t say you should let a person’s (and their neighbours’) house flood just because they’re religious.
Anyway Grib, it’s nice to see you again. Is it true you’ve banned all British IPs from your own blog because I upset you? I didn’t mean to upset you, I just wanted to debate stuff with you.
No, not because you upset me you douchebag, it’s because you are a moron. I hate morons more than I hate American liberals. BTW, how’s that liberal thing working out for you over there? Not so good I read.
Just so you know Ian the douche, Obama made the job creation comments to push his frigging “stimulus” Pork Project. That money is supposed to create jobs. The original question, which you libtards are unable to ever stick to which is why you and your buddies are banned,is how many jobs is this teen pregnancy prevention project going to create or save? The answer is none. But then again, you are too stupid to understand the question much less the answer.
You deal with Britain’s problems, and we’ll deal with ours you piece of libtarded Eurotrash.
I really have missed you.
The original question was phrased so that you could call names and feel superior when someone pointed out that the program doesn’t have to create jobs to be a benefit. Well done on that
Oddly enough, two racist morons elected to the European Parliament isn’t that much of a problem. They’ll be sidelined as soon as they get there and voted out at the next election. It’s annoying that so few people turned out that they could get elected with fewer votes than they had last time, but that’s democracy for you
