North Korea Claims Successful Nuclear Test
Posted on May 25, 2009

…of course we are talking about claims from a mad man known for exaggerations. We take it with a grain of salt, but then again…we are talking about a mad man! Every president in my lifetime has not figured out how to calm this little hyperactive wild freak down from his power tripping, and I doubt Obama will either. It will be a test for the new president in how he reacts to this, however. Talking about talking about negotiating will most likely be the reaction. Something similar has been the reaction as long as I remember. If intelligence tells us this could be an actual threat then talking won’t be enough. But talking never is enough. However, that’s what this president will always do.
North Korea staged a “successful” underground nuclear test on Monday, the communist state’s official media said.
South Korea’s presidential office said has earlier said that North Korea had appeared to have conducted a nuclear weapons test. The government received a report on the nuclear test having been conducted, presidential spokesman Lee Dong-Kwan told a briefing.
He said President Lee Myung-Bak called an emergency National Security Council meeting for Monday afternoon
.
South Korea is reacting like something big is going down. Japan calling for a U.N. meeting. The Asian markets are rattled, so it’s looking bigger and bigger by the minute.
In the meantime, Iran and North Korea develop and test new missiles which can carry nuclear warheads.
And, the Obama Administration proposes saving money in its budget by cutting vital missile defense programs, including the deployment of missiles to protect the United States from an actual attack – making America less safe.
The wrong move and it will be up to Congress to correct Obama’s misplaced priorities.
Emergency wrist-slap to follow.
Clearly this situation calls for additional appeasement. Oh, and a speech on how the United States should eliminate its nuclear weapons stockpile.
Tomorrow’s Conventional Wisdom Today…This failure of diplomacy clearly shows the need for more diplomacy. The Six Party Talks have done nothing to stop N. Korea’s nuclear program. Obviously this demonstrates the importance of redoubling efforts to conduct more Six Party Talks.
Just remember…missile defense remains unproven. However, when it comes to diplomacy, especially ’smart’ and ‘tough’ diplomacy, everyday is a new day.
Noteworthy is that Kim is reportedly planning to turn over power to either his brother in law or his third son, which has me thinking that this is yet the latest step up in aggression since Kim’s stroke in August. First they withdrew from diplomacy talks aimed at ending its nuclear weapons development, and then fired a test missile on April 5th.
Since the North Korean government has now demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that it cannot be trusted to adhere to any agreement, it effectively leaves Japan and South Korea no option but to match or exceed North Korea’s potential stockpile with their own. Those governments cannot depend on the United States under Barack Obama to provide a nuclear shield for them, particularly as he is busy defunding the United States anti ballistic missile systems development.
….What, if anything, will China do now that North Korea has single handedly destroyed its comfortable monopoly on nuclear weapons in Asia?
Iran will now charge ahead full bore on its program so we will undoubtedly see an additional race in the middle east.

Can’t we all just get along ? I’m sure if we hope (really intensely), the people with the missiles pointed at us will dismantle them. I’m sure if we’re nice to them, they’ll be nice to us ! World history is just filled with examples of this…ah…somewhere…let me find it…ah, well let me get back to you on that one. Just have faith !!
Can we someday have adults back in charge here ?
Only the leaders are benefited… how are the common people benefitted by theses wars???
Nuclear tests. Have you got the results.
They couldn’t have tested a nuclear weapon. The Clinton Administration gave them new nuclear power generation technology to eliminate the chance of this happening.
Obama already responded with this video. As North Korea Goes Nuclear, this Obama Speech Only Emboldens Our Enemies. Watch, http://tinyurl.com/okw3lx
It’s our own fault! We couldn’t get our act together this election any better than those before us who allowed this N. Korean psycho to get where he is at now with nuclear capability…
We may feel and want a philosophical global cleansing of morals and ethics throughout the globe, this corrupt psycho “Krazy Kim” is going to provide one literally if he is allowed to continue.
Clearly the ‘appeasers’ are more out-of-touch with reality than the lunatic recipient of these ridiculous policies.
