Not the odd Blue Dog or former Democrat Joe Lieberman, but high profile Scoop Jackson types who defy the Hard Left and put country first. It appears they all look at national security as an inconvenience that draws precious time and resources away from more important vote-buying, wealth redistribution priorities. Well, they ignore it until they get on the wrong side of public opinion and are forced to vote for national security before they vote against it. Which explains Pelosi's misdirection in drawing a parallel with WMDs -- she thinks it's a trump card to get her off the hook. In fact it's a big mistake, because all but the most brain-dead voters will conclude "Oh "yeah, didn't the Democrats make the same argument about WMDs? They were lying about that, too."
