Double Standard On Racy Pageant Contenders Photos?
Today is the day that Carrie Prejean should find out if she keeps her crown. If she loses it, that would be very strange since she represents “If it feels good, do it!” California. But, is there a double standard going on?
While racy photos of Miss California Carrie Prejean could cost the outspoken first runner up in the Miss USA pageant her crown, pageant officials don’t seem to care about even steamier photos of Miss Rhode Island that appeared in a men’s magazine.
So is Prejean being targeted simply for her beliefs?
Yes.
Meanwhile 2009 Miss Rhode Island Alysha Castonguay has also posed in revealing photo shoots, but is apparently not in danger of losing her crown.
Castonguay posed topless for a Maxim magazine shoot and a few swimsuit calendars before competing in the pageant, but reportedly revealed the pictures to Miss USA officials, who approved them.
Of course, the big difference here is Carries contract. But, if she hadn’t given that answer about gay marriage, think there would be all this uproar?
Yeah, me neither.
Prejean should be fired if that is what her contract states. But, not because some folks on the left have gone off the rails and gotten personal because they do not like her gay marriage answer. The tolerance of the Left is rather picky.
The Dirty, which has pretty much started the whole photo flap, promises that the hammer will drop on Wednesday, and “does sexually explicit mean anything?” TMZ has some edited photos that are probably NSFW, barely, not really that bad, unless you are a Puritan, which seems the way the Left is acting. You can also compare to some of the photos that Castonguay did for Maxim here.
Sorry, not going to embed the photo’s here without hearing from Jay first. You can also see several, including one of Castonguay, at my Gallery page.

At a press conference addressing Carrie Prejean’s disputed title in the Miss USA competition, pageant owner Donald Trump compared Prejean’s stated views on gay marriage to Obama’s.
“It’s the same answer that the president of the United States gave,” Trump said. “She gave an honorable answer. She gave an answer from her heart.”
