Obama Requests Georgetown University to Cover Christian Symbol During Speech

Posted on April 16, 2009

Because he is such a devout Christian, and protector of the separation of church and state…or something. I don’t know. Seems a bit ridiculous to me. Anyone else find it odd and overreaching? It kinda goes from bending over backwards so far as to not offend oversensitive secularists that, you end up offending an even larger block. Kinda stupid if you ask me.

The monogram IHS, whose letters spell out the name of Jesus, and which normally perches above the stage in Gaston Hall where the president spoke, was covered over with what appeared to be black wood during the address…
“Decisions made about the backdrop for the speech were made to have a consistent background of American flags, which is standard for many presidential events,” said White House spokesman Shin Inouye in a statement released Thursday…
Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, accused the university of “cowardice” for acceding to the White House, and criticized Obama’s team for asking a religious school to “neuter itself” before the president made his address.

I’m sure the ACLU are proud.

Shame not only on Obama for not respecting his American people but also for those weak minded individuals who went along with his request.
Obama said in Europe we are not a nation of Christians, etc but we are indeed from our beginnings. We have opened our shores to all and he is slapping all Americans in the face for their God and constitution given rights.

Remember his bots said when told he was a muslim,”SO WHAT?”

As a Catholic, I am disgusted that a Catholic University would bow down to the most pro choice, anti Catholic president in our history and cover Jesus’s letters. You do not deserve to be recognized as Catholic.

I will tell everyone I know not to contribute or send their children to your school,

    Shame on you.

I am not a prophet, neither am I the son of one: But I can see the doom day is coming. Anyone fighting against God better be prepared. This is not just a fight against the Catholic Church or Christianity, it is a battle against God Himself. God help Obama

Thanks to all of you who have the courage to see Obama for what he is and to speak out. Everyone is right. When a President of the United States asks a Christian University to cover up Jesus and they obey, it is a real “eye opener”. Unfortunately, it seems only the Christians have their eyes open as the non Christians eyes remain closed. We all need to pray for deliverance from this president and for the courage to stand up for Jesus Christ.

The bible says, “and Christians will be persecuted.” Welcome to the persecution. God help us all.

Thank everyone here for speaking up for our Lord. I’m a 54 year old American and I am very proud to say that Jesus has been my friend since I was 10 or 11 years old. I always thought I lived in a Christian country and I have loved America well. God bless each and every one of you for standing up for our Lord.
