The problem is that advocates are trying to make a legal defence for an illegal action. Logic would say that a person illegally entering a residence tripped over the entrance stair and broke his foot would not be entitled to sue the homeowner for medical bills. It is doubtful a citizens homeowners policy would have much sympathy for the person. This country has laws. The laws and the insurance provisions that support law abiding people are set up for accidents surrounding legal activitys. Sorry they guy who is here illegally in my opinion and in the opinion of millions of others took it upon himself to enter illegally, obtain employment illegally and has no legal standing. Morally if there is a defence, maybe the people he supposedly was working for might want to contribute to his medical bills, but the US government, nor its citizens have that responsibility. If people choose to break the law, there are consequences. This doesn't just apply to citizens who follow the law, it applies to everyone. No doubt whatsoever the US citizens who had nothing to do with this illegal act will absorb his medical bills through the system he relies upon (illegally) but to even suggest that he has a legal position to sue, unless someone pushed him off the roof, he has to take responsibility for his actions.
