First, Australia is not a truly conservative country. They lost a lot of their ability to remain so when they took away the peoples’ right to own fire arms.

Second, your definition of a Conservative is more along the lines of Neo-Con. True Conservatives understand the history and meaning behind our country’s founding and greatness. It was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and the understanding that government is evil in and of itself. But in strictly limited roles it is a necessary evil. The only way that our greatness will return is if WE return to those founding principles.

Wrong.
Conservatism is very much based on religious principles. Our entire society is based on one principle – Imago Dei. That man is made in the image and likeness of God. Because of that, each human life has dignity. Because of that, we are entitled to certain rights.
Some secular conservatives are too stupid to realise this.
But check the demographics John Ray – white secularists are a dying breed and the future will be MORE religious.
Because ultimately, it is only religions and religious cultures which are reproducing themselves.
