Good. Lula is an idiot. And the people around him are amazingly corrupt. Middle class is carrying that country. An educated leader and stronger anti-corruption policy enforcement would do wonders for Brazil. Brazil’s natural resources are an interest to the world and Obama knows this. Lula is just a step away from Morales and Chavez. Really, he’s nobody, and he deserves to be put in his place from time to time.

Obama’s administration is NOT cozying up to Iran – as a matter of FACT (oops, maybe a fact doesn’t belong on this blog…) the administration just extended the designation of Iran as an “extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States” order Bush issued in 1995. If you bothered to actually gather information before you spouted off, you’d know that, but, then, you wouldn’t be able to spout off so vehemently either – makes one wonder what the true source of your hatred is?

Guess what, Obama is the President now, face it and grow up. If these are major screw-ups on the part of the Obama administration, I don’t know what to call what the Bush administration did.
The Soviet Union imploded under its own weight, now the USA is in the same boat. Russia should be an ally, not an adversary. I for one had assumed that the US has ceased its global bomber patrols after the end of the Cold War, but only the bombers changed, not the strategy. Now Russia is getting to the point where they can assert their status as a world power, and if the USA is still living in the cold war, how can we blame them for wanting to join in.
Let us all hope that Obama can finally put the Cold War behind us and focus on our real problems.

Real challenge to the safety of the western hemisphere.

Where will Mexico and Canada stand on the Russian use of Cuban airfields.

I hope Obama realizes that a show of weakness will bring every US hater to the plate to take another swing.

A quick swat to the totally minute USSR will calm a lot of the world.

The USSR has less GNP than the state of California. If it weren’t for their oil reserves they would be about as powerful as Canada.
