Barack “Two Face” Obama Signs Legislation Banning Fed Funds For ESCs

Posted on March 14, 2009

On Monday, The One signed legislation reversing the Evil!!!!! Boooooosh’s (I spend too much time at the DU) ban on using federal funds for embryonic stem cell research, saying he would put “sound science over politics,” and liberals/progressives/surrender monkeys rejoiced. But, they might want to hold off finishing the mary jane brownies and grape kool aid

On Wednesday, only two days after he lifted President Bush’s executive order banning federal funding of stem cell research that requires the destruction of human embryos, President Barack Obama signed a law that explicilty(sic) bans federal funding of any “research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death.”

The provision was buried in the 465-page omnibus appropriations bill that Obama signed Wednesday. Known as the Dickey-Wicker amendment, it has been included in the annual appropriations bill for the Department of Health and Human Services every fiscal year since 1996.

The amendment says, in part: “None of the funds made available in this Act may be used for—(1) the creation of a human embryo or embryos for research purposes; or (2) research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed, discarded, or knowingly subjected to risk of injury or death.”

Found in Section 509 of Title V of the omnibus bill (at page 280 of the 465-page document), the federal funding ban not only prohibits the government from providing tax dollars to support research that kills or risks injury to a human embryo, it also mandates that the government use an all-inclusive definition of “human embryo” that encompasses any nascent human life from the moment that life comes into being, even if created in a laboratory through cloning, in vitro fertilization or any other means.

And the liberals were sore afraid and seething. And The Messiah said “fear not, for I will screw you over surely worse during the rest of my term. Remember, this occurred on day 51!”

And before libs go off on how it is such a shame that we can’t destroy human embryos for worthless research now, remember, private research centers can still do the research, they just pretty much don’t bother, since ESCs have proven virtually worthless, since their affects tend to be just as bad or worse then the original issue they were created to solve.

What utter moron runs this site? Have you not a clue as to what the issues here are about?
Here – start using whatever brain you might have (doesn’t seem to be much):

Equating the wish that the President’s leftist takeover fails with a wish that our country fails is utterly moronic.

Thank God I woke up and started thinking for myself, unlike these three stooges who have commented on your post.

It’s free speech for now, until the King takes that freedom away too.

OK, Joe, I’ll be sure to take the word of an Obama Kool Aid infused (or is that confused?) site.

Actually, no. As memeorandum shows, they’ve just merely pointed out this “reversal” doesn’t actually exist…

ie. If the prohibition contained in the budget meant what you think it does and it predated Bush, then Bush wouldn’t have had anything to ban and Obama would have nothing to reverse.

Yeah, because taking the word of a source like CNS, who informed you of none of those details in order to portray this as something it wasn’t, is working out so much better.

This blog entry is yet another example of how you neocon right wingers go haring off on some ill-informed tangent, because you’re ill-educated on reading and interpreting the details in the progressive work being done now by our Congress.

And your blog entry itself is puerile in its maunderings. It reads like it’s written by a 13 year old.

A suggestion: you might leave out the childish references to “mary jane brownies and grape kool-aid”, “Messiah”, “screw over”, and some of your run-on sentences like the last paragraph. Those comments imbed you pretty firmly below the level of “intelligent discourse”.

Say, Karen, I noticed that, during your little left winger screed of personal attacks, you kinda forgot to actually rebut what I wrote. Not that I am surprised, since that is typical of liberals/progressives: attack personally when you know you are wrong. Heck, just attack personally, period.
