CHAVEZ QUICKER TO THE PUNCH

Caracas – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday called upon US President Barack Obama to follow the path to socialism, which he termed as the “only” way out of the global recession. “Come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism. This is the only path. Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States,” Chavez told a group of workers in the southern Venezuelan state of Bolivar.
Word has it that Obama was going to use his weekly radio address tomorrow to ask Chavez to join HIM on the path to socialism.
Asking Obama to hop-skip down the path of socialism is like urging the Yankees to form a baseball team.
It seems that there may be a point at which we will have to stop attaching other names (socialism, Marxism, etc.) to Obama’s philosophy of governance and name this whole mess after its creator.

umm….Mr. Shovea**,sir, President Teleprompter could show YOU a thing or two about Socialism.
I’m so tired of the Socialism thing. First of all, the dumbed down know-nothings have no idea what it means. They don’t even understand the concept of “Government Control.” Having been in PR for most of my life, one of the first things I learned is to use words that don’t have to be translated for people. i.e. Socialism — The Government owns everything. You own nothing. Government Control — The Government tells you what you can and cannot do, read, think and own. The Government owns you.
Second, Chavez is a self-described Maoist. Even Conservative media don’t use that term, preferring the cozy Socialist instead.
We need to get real here, folks. You don’t win wars by being weenies — or using weenie words.
Hey Jane, I am with you. Hugo himself used the word, so I just followed the lead. I think what O has is store for us is far worse.
Well, then, let me be the first to say it:
Komrade Obama, your minions salute thee!
Or, to coin a phrase, President Kobamarade!
