It sounds like John Walberg has a possibility of a lawsuit against the police and maybe even the university. I say against the police because it does not sound like they can prove they had reasonable suspicions and against the University because one of their representatives infringed on his academic freedom.

He might have to go through channels at the University before filing the later to see if they act appropriately before suing them for what sounds like a breach of contract.

We should fire every teacher on the basis that we an education crises. This, at least, is true. In order for them to be rehired, they would have to pass an exam on the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution AND what it says and means. If they fail this exam, they are banned until they study this ONE piece document.

Clearly, if you cannot understand the writings on one piece of paper, how can you teach the rest of this crap which carries with it so many pages?

You know, when the PATRIOT act was passed, all that I seem to remember was the left (buzzflash, daily kos ect) going on and on about personal liberty being compromised and the danger of citizens turning other citizens and snitching, slippery slopes, this and that,
