Obama Pentagon Review Finds Gitmo In Line With Geneva Conventions
Who would have ever thunk that we Amerika could capture unlawful combatants in civilian attire and hold them prisoner for participating in terrorist activities like blowing up innocent civilians? Remember all the human rights complaints by the ACLU and their ilk about force feeding inmates trying to do publicity stunts of hunger strikes? Hmmmm….looks like this was actually mandated by the U.N. Wow!
A Pentagon review of conditions in the Guantanamo Bay military prison has concluded that the treatment of detainees meets the requirements of the Geneva Convention but that prisoners in the highest-security camps should be allowed more religious and social interaction with each other, according to a government official who has read the 85-page document.
The report, which was ordered by President Obama, was prepared by Adm. Patrick M. Walsh, the vice chief of naval operations, and has been delivered to the White House. Obama requested the review as part of an executive order on the planned closure of the prison at the Guantanamo Bay U.S. naval base on the southeastern tip of Cuba…
Walsh concluded that … force-feeding, which involves strapping prisoners to feeding chairs and forcing tubes down one nostril and into their stomachs, is in compliance the Geneva Convention’s mandate that the lives of prisoners must be preserved, the government official said.
Wow! So the ACLU was wrong when they whined about American military making sure prisoners didn’t starve themselves? It wasn’t cruelty to help them survive instead of suffer? Amazing! So, Obama is closing down this facility for some reason. Oh yeah! To make sure he caters to his nit wit base, even though he had no clue about the reality. So what now Barack? Congrats! Job well done Mr. President.
Meanwhile, Obama’s got the ACLU jumping for joy as one Gitmo detainee finds freedom!
The ACLU says that Mohamed, after being captured in 2002, was flown from Pakistan to Morocco on a Gulfstream V aircraft, for which flight and logistical support services were provided by Jeppesen Dataplan, Inc. Mohamed claims that for the following 18 months he was tortured by Moroccan intelligence officials. In 2004, Mohamed was flown to a secret U.S. detention facility in Afghanistan, Mohamed claims. Again, support services for this flight were provided by Jeppesen.
“In Afghanistan Mohamed was tortured and inhumanely treated by United States officials,” the ACLU says. “Later that same year Mohamed was rendered a third time by U.S. officials, this time to Guantánamo Bay, Cuba where he is presently.”
Well, good news! Looks like Mohamed will be a free man come Monday! Congrats to the ACLU and their savior Obama. After all, aren’t we all terrorists anyway?
Hmmmm. Does Obama owe Bush an apology?

Of Course.
ACLU, MOVEON and CODEPINK are Anti-Americans.
PENTAGON? Pentagon has generally been Pro-Democrat President.
If I were a Republican President, I would never trust anybody from Pentagon. Look what happened to GWH.
Bush had it right. The left is probably choking on the Gitmo assessment. Less of a justification to close it now, apart from purely and obviously political aims. They’ll probably try to disguise it now under some “more economically cost effective and equitable” solution, or other such nonsense.
I’ve got money that says Mohamed will be killing infidels inside of a week upon his return to the outside world.
I’m with Mark they’ll come up with some excuse to keep GITMO open and the slobbering media will fall in line and never question the utter hypocrisy.
Obama was a drug that immature Americans took because they couldn’t or wouldn’t face the reality of life’s hard choices.
He promised an easy way, with easy answers and now they’re coming down off the high and the problems are still there to be met.
Very soon the only ones buying his snake oil will be those wanting a return to the welfare dole and his ACORN brownshirts.
