Obama Disses Brits, Will Media Miss?

Barack Obama loves Lincoln. It seems not a day goes by that he isn’t quoting the Civil War icon or comparing himself to that great man. But it looks like we are finding one great leader that Barack Obama doesn’t like so much: Winston Churchill.
It appears that President Obama is dissing the Brit’s most famous and stalwart leader by quickly returning the most famous bust of the man loaned to this country by the United Kingdom in the aftermath of 9//11. The return of the bust of Churchill flustered the British government because they didn’t ask for it to be returned. Our best ally was nonplussed and even quickly told Obama he could keep it in the Oval Office where Bush had displayed the piece of art. Obama told them no thanks which made the Brits even more amazed.
So, Barack Obama, the man that would “fix” our “bad image” with the rest of the world, we were told by the media, has just dissed Churchill after only one month in office? And, according to one of the only stories I can find on this incident, the British government has been made nervous about the relationship between England and the U.S. because of the casual return of their generously loaned Churchill bust.
I mean, this abrupt return of the Churchill statue is sort of odd. Would it have hurt anything to keep the thing? After all, it made the Brits feel good and American’s have a connection to Churchill, too (besides WWII). His mother was from our shores after all.
Whatever the case may be, the bust now sits in the home of the British ambassador in Washington D.C.
Now I wonder if anyone in the U.S. media will bother to report on an incident that that has caused diplomatic consternation, an incident perpetrated by the Obammessiah himself.
Again… wasn’t Obama the one that was going to make every ally ecstatically happy?

Wow, the enormity of the dumb is frightening, but it explains the Obama presidency.
I understand this, though. Churchill was everything an Obama would hate. Courageous, conservative, proud of his Western heritage. He was a classical man, he reminds Obama that his culture produced little of value, but ours produced much. He reminds Obama that cowardice is remembered with derision, but courage is enshrined for posterity. Obama is not the slightest bit Churchillian, and when his time of crisis comes, he will not be able to find courage and conviction in the soulless well of race-baiting, Communist beliefs, and Jerimiah Wrightism. Men without character seldom develop it on the job.
Hey first poster, without googling, I would bet my house that you never heard of Winston Churchill, couldn’t place him in historical context, and don’t have a clue why the British sent that particular statue to George W. Bush, the Last American President, after 9-11.
I was gonna post a (typically, for me, snarky) comment about Obama’s latest idiocy, but the elector of saxony summed things up nicely and in a far better manner than I could. Instead, I’ll focus on the troll under the bridge there.

Oh, I thought he was ramming through a bill designed to pay for Democratic pork projects. I thought that even the Congressional Budget Office said that his plan wouldn’t work and could possibly make things worse. Silly me.

Jimmy Carter? The guy Obama is clearly emulating? Oh, wait, you were trying to slam Bush – the guy that did massive damage to AQ (the group that grew in strength under a certain Democratic president, though I’m sure you’d rather not talk about that).

The economy collapsed? Well, that’s news to me. I was under the impression that the current economic mess paled in comparison to the Great Depression and the early 1980s recession. Oh, but there I go again, bringing in facts…
By the way, you must be aware that the current mess spiraled out of breaks being given to the likes of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Countrywide, right? Y’know, companies that helped line the pockets of Democrats. Hmmm, now who ensured all those breaks? Oh, yeah – Democrats, including Obama. Who tried to put controls on them? Oh, yeah – Bush.

Yeah, sure the rest of the world respected us before Bush. Sure, they did. And unicorns ran around, and it rained gum drops, and… well, even someone with your limited intelligence can see where I’m going with this, right?
Oh, let’s not forget that the world by-and-large either outright supported terrorism or caved into terrorist threats on a regular basis. So, why should we care about their opinions, again? Let’s also not forget that our supposed allies had shady dealings in the Oil For Food mess and frequently harass Israel – a nation that is just trying to defend itself from his agressive neighbors. But, hey, maybe you prefer the company of anti-semities that don’t care about harm being done to innocent people.

Funny, how the far left keeps saying the Iraq war was based on a lie and yet offers no proof. It’s also funny that investigations (including Democrat-led ones) can’t seem to find that proof. Of course, it’s funny in the way that completely destroys your so-called position.
And two wars based on lies? What other war took place under Bush? Oh, yeah, Afghanistan. Are you trying to say that the war in Afghanistan was based on a lie? Are you basically telling us that you are one of those “truthers?” I can’t say I’m surprised. You’ve clearly demonstrated you have the intelligence of a guinea pig.
Oh, and another thing, Boston2LA99. Learn to type and conduct yourself like an adult. You might find it useful someday.
I’ll conclude with the words of Red Forman, “You wanna mess with me again? You just stop on by.”
Another British marine killed in Afghanistan today – maybe your new ‘right on’ president doesn’t realise it yet, but the UK has been one of the USA’s most reliable allies. Our Army is bleeding to death in Afghanistan, and his response is to return a bust of our greatest war leader. None of the politicians around in either the USA or the UK now would be fit to clean Churchills boots. Lets hope Obama learns quickly who his real friends are.

Unfortunately, Obama is not an American. IN the last several decades, those living in our midst with brown or black skin have been encouraged to hate “America” and identify more strongly with their racial groups of origin. To Obama, Britain stands for nothing more than the colonial opression of his race-mates. The “special relationship” has no bearing upon Obama, as he is no part of it. He is an African first, a Kenyan second, a Muslim third, a Communist fourth, and an American only by dint of his current geographic location. If he had remained in Africa he would be bowing to Mecca 5 times daily, sending cash to Swiss bank accounts, and opressing the peasants in his native land. (oops! did I say native?)
It is truly sad, but America now has a President who is not an heir to our shared values and culture. There is a new agenda, and Britain, Europe, and non hyphenated Americans don’t matter anymore.
