Did anybody miss the part about unusually cold temperatures? The Yukon River froze earlier than normal this year? Wasn’t it just a few months ago that CNN was doing scare stories, and making fun of Palin’s manmade global warming doubts,that Alaska was melting? How come CNN didn’t ask any Emmonak residents their views on global warming since they live in the supposed “melting glacier ice” area?

Hey, if people want to live in communion with nature, they should not complain about the cost of gas, or how expensive it is to truck/fly in food to these remote areas. Live life like Nature intended – hunt, fish and live off the land. Some years food is bountiful, some years not! Nobody said it was going to be easy.

It has been bad in Alaska for years. But Kentucky is a different story. Where is the help. Power has been out for weeks, people are starving–there has been no huge media coverage. It is worse than in hurrican Katrina.

I wonder if Obama’s remarks about how “spiffy” Air Force One is would be uttered while doing a fly over of the Yukon area while thousands are freezing and going hungry would still be “spiffy”? Reminders of Katrina.

How does one donate directly to help the residents of Yukon communities?

So, What does the powerful Mrs. Palin doing about it? Don’t they get $1,000 plus for the oil they produce. I guess that’s the cost of living in such rural areas of the US. I’m sure that if they wanted they can live in other parts of America- including the mainland without leaving the rural culture – Montana ,North Dakota, WY, etc. The economy is affecting everyone. It’s become global..

Here’s an idea. How about donating to save the starving and struggling in our own country for a change. And, how about the likes of Ashley Judd and the other Hollywood big wigs contributing to save people and putting the wolves on hold, for a while. Not sure this would go over well, though, with the liberals.

Heck, Palin could use that to her advantage. Among Republicans, I would think praise from CNN would create suspicion or disinterest.

Of course, I think Palin would be better off staying a governor. After one term of Obama, people may learn why Senators (aka people with zero executive experience) don’t make such great presidents.
