Obama Meets with Al-Arabiya in the White House

Members of al-Aribiya, the Arab Dubai-based satellite network entered the White House and President Obama “sat” for an interview…in the White House.

I’m putting this up out of sync with the linked article. This is the most important and abhorrent part of what we know so far (Washington Post):
WAPO says that in “stark contrast” to President G. W. Bush, Obama said:
“…IF America is ready to initiate a new partnership [with the Muslim world] based on mutual respect and mutual interest, then I think that we can make significant progress.”
This borders on treasonous. What kind of “partnership” can America have now, how can we believe Islam wants a “partnership,” and what broke an assumed “partnership” in the first place?
How does America embark on a “new partnership?” Does he have a clue? Will his Envoy, George Mitchell take his message to al-Qaeda or the Taliban? Or maybe they’ll see this video in a tricked out cave somewhere.
How does he think he can deal with Hamas? Pre-conceptions. What can be “Pre.” We acted “after,” not “Pre.” We were just sitting here minding our business and they took the towers down.
(NOTE: I just got the video. His comment is not exactly as stated above).

All too often the United States starts by dictating — in the past on some of these issues — and we don’t always know all the factors that are involved,” Obama told al-Arabiya. “So let’s listen. He’s [George Mitchell] going to be speaking to all the major parties involved. And he will then report back to me. From there we will formulate a specific response.”
He said “I have Muslim members of my family. I have lived in Muslim countries,…”
I’m also reading that the interview airs at 11 p.m. EST in the U.S. tonight, January 26th.
As George Mitchell, new Middle East Envoy, prepared to leave for the Middle East, Obama told reporters that that peace in the ME is important to America, and also personally important to him.

The Knack’s “My Sharona” has been transformed into The Quack’s “My Sharia” to the detriment of the United States of America….
If he’s lived in Muslim countries, then he’s seen women going around buried under rags and this does not revolt him as oppression. Great, just great news. For this man, anything goes as long as tolerating it furthers his agenda.

NOW he has Muslim ties. He says this means that peace in the Middle East is important to him.
I thought he was a Christian ! “Hussein” was just a name!

If Mitchell meets with the Taliban and/or alQueda, how long before we see a clip of him sitting on the floor while one of these slimeballs reads whatever the hell it is they’re reading, then cuts his head off?
Wait a minute. Didn’t the messiah say he’d sit down with these people…?

No body who is acqainted with President Obama since his time in Hawaii, LA, NY and Chicago has ever expressed any doubt about his being Muslim.
That includes his neighbors and classmates in school, college, grad school, acquaintances during his days as a social worker in Chicago, members of his Church in all the places he lived etc.
So get it out of your sick heads that he is a Muslim.
His father and step father were both Muslims by birth but both men did not practice their religion. Again, this is information based on all the people who knew these men in college in Hawaii etc.
IF you knew anything about Islam then you would know that a practicing Muslim will always make sure to raise his children (especially sons) as Muslims. Obama senior did not care to meet his son (except for one month at the age of ten) and allowed him to be raised by his Christian mother. That is itself proof of the fact that his father was not a practicing Muslim.
Similarly, his half sister Maya is also Christian, despite being born to a Muslim father, and that proves that Obama’s step father was not a practicing Muslim
Our president was raised by the white and very Christian side of his family except for the four years in Indonesia.
So yes, he does have an extended family (step siblings) in Kenya who are practicing Muslims. These are the people he referred to in his interview. These are not people he meets every week or even every year.
What he did not mention in the interview is that he has family members in Chicago whom he is much closer to who are Jews.
Tell me…how would your sick minds analyze that bit of information?
You people had no problems when that stupid white guy from Texas could not stop 9/11 from happening despite all the information he had at hand.
You did not mind that he got to be in the White House for the first four years based on a technicality and support of some biased chief justices.
You did not mind that in eight years that man spent 470 days holidaying in his Texas ranch and 480 days holidaying in Camp David. That is over two years.
You were fine with the fact that he took us into a war without any evidence of nuclear weapons.
And you have the audacity to start criticizing the new president (who has won his election more decisively than his stup8d predecessor ever did). Please don’t forget that he has won states that haven’t gone to the Democrats in half-a-century and that is thanks to the stup8dity of your repug leaders.
So you keep showing off your stupidity…and the Democrats will continue their winning in 2010.
SB said it all, not sure why Republicans just want to hate anyone that is not Christian or Jewish. That in of itself seems like it does not go along well with Christian values. The ground has shifted my friends…if yu don’t like it leave. Isn’t that what you told us intelligent people for 8 years?

When did we ever have peaceful relations with the middle east? They have held our people hostage, murdered our soldiers and controlled our import of oil. Have we forgotten 9-11? It would be wonderful if we could have a world without war but Jesus said that would never happen. And until we all accept Jesus it will not happen. And no I am not prejudiced against other religions but I know that the only way to peace is thru our Savior Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that Obama will be successful as a president because I fear for my eight grandchildren if he is not.
Okay, you claim to not be prejudiced against other religions, and yet claim that Jesus is the only way to go? Um, that makes you prejudiced, lady. Stop saying foolish things.
