Israel Tells UN To Shove It On War Crimes

Good to see that Israel is still willing to stand up to the United Nations. I have to wonder where Obama will stand on the issue: Israeli PM in war crimes pledge

Any Israeli soldiers accused of war crimes in the Gaza Strip will be given state protection from prosecution overseas, the country’s PM has said.

Ehud Olmert said troops should know Israel would keep them safe after they acted to protect their country.

Prime Minister Olmert told a weekly cabinet meeting that soldiers who had put their lives on the line for their country need not fear prosecution for war crimes overseas.

“The commanders and soldiers that were sent on the task in Gaza should know that they are safe from any tribunal and that the State of Israel will assist them in this issue and protect them as they protected us with their bodies during the military operation in Gaza,” he said.

This is also a slap at all the pro-Islamic jihad groups and liberals/progressives around the world who basically think Israel is a terrorist nation which is the cause of all problems in the Middle East. They have no problem with Islamic jihadis going into civilian areas and blowing themselves up, because they believe Israel has it coming to them, much like they think 9/11 was payback for how mean America is.

Good for them, but we all know how Obama feels about the UN… he so wants to go to the prom with them……

I apologize to the world for Obama becoming President. I didn’t vote for him but there just weren’t enough sane people voting with me.

I too would like to apologize to the world for the Obamanation now in control of Amerika. Unfortunately the Repuglican Party saw fit to nominate John McCain, a Democrat, who basically handed the Presidency to Obama on a silver platter. Shame that the best we could come up with in our great nation was these two morons. And what did we get… the nightmare moron when at least the clown moron would probably not be aiming to “change” our nation into a social democracy, or more likely, a socialist nation. God help us.

It’s about time Israel finally stood up for herself (or should I say Olmert?). I must also agree with Bob S. Thanks for letting me know about this, Teach. ;)
