Although the sign was inapproiate. It has been used in their show for years. It's geared toward George Clinton. Sir Noses is a character in the band that dislikes Clinton's funkiness.

Mr Confused is correct. I've been to their concerts. Sir Nose hates anything funky and since George Clinton is the Minister of Funk, he was the subject of that sign. Sir Nose been waving a F**K GEORGE sign ever since the 90's, before G W Bush went onto office. So before you all attack something you have no knowledge about, do your homework!

The f-George banner was not about George Bush even though we know as a fact he has had a low and the lowest popularity rating ever in our History.

I'm willing to bet it was about George Bush.

"About 45 minutes into the set I saw George make an appearance on the side of the stage. Slowing bobbing his head and moving from side to side, he was getting into the feel of the groove. About 30 minutes after George took the stage a banner was unveiled behind him that read "Funk George Bush" which drew more than a few smiles out of the crowd. If the band wasn't forced to stop around 1 am they would have surely played through the night. They would have had most of their funk followers along there with them feeling the groove of P Funk."

Those fans that know George Clinton are familiar with the kind of raw uncensored anticts that take place on stage during a P-Funk show

They are always harmless and never represent any disrespectful veiws or opinions about our society in general. However they re honest about how they feel about any subject that concerns the human race.

The f-George banner was not about George Bush even though we know as a fact he has had a low and the lowest popularity rating ever in our History.

The character that held up the sign actually is a character created by the band there to represent the negative minds of our society against the fun that George Clinton show brings .He is called Sir Noze D’void of Funk he represents all the Scrooges in life.

Sir Noze like many in our society are out their to stop the human race from having fun and being “on the one” a sense of everyone being team player in our lives and the effect together to cause positive change or negeativity.

There were all adults at the event and I am sure that word is part of evryone’s vocabulary
at some point its just an expression to describe the worst admiration for something or someome’s reality.Get ready like the b word and others it will show up in websters dictionary along with other for letter words

Remember Funk used to be a bad word…...

It is certainly not clear that the band meant to attack President Bush, but apparently some audience members took it that way nonetheless.

I'd suggest that this is improper analysis of the situation. We can differ if it was "the band" of just Clinton (who's band it is), but the bottom line is it ook human intelligence to make/procure the sign and an overt, conscious act to place it in view of the audience.

It's not like it was a birthmark that looked like those words, it was a sign, with a clear and specific message, and purposely placed before those who have served.

Don't excuse them. Someone connected to the group made it happen. Notice it was the ball spokesman who apologized, not anyone from the band.

And to think it was done by a guy named Clinton....oh man, that's priceless!!!
