Moonbat Messiah to Nix Drilling

Posted on January 22, 2009

To no one’s surprise, this didn’t take long:

U.S. President Barack Obama may order a hold on a proposal issued in the final days of the Bush administration to expand offshore drilling in previously banned areas, an Interior Department official told Reuters on Wednesday. … Separately, the Interior official said the department’s plan to develop oil shale fields in the western United States may also be stopped by Obama’s order.

Cheap oil is likely to shorten the recession, which Obama needs to worsen if he is to strangle what’s left of our economic freedom and move us toward socialism. Thus it’s important to prevent us from drilling our own oil.

Fortunately, we don’t need the oil anyway, now that we’re in the era of rainbows and unicorns. We can just fill our gas tanks with Hope and Change.

Here comes 10$ a gallon gasoline! Are you ready for your mom to die without her blood pressure medication, libbies? Are you ready for 20% unemployment under your Dear Leader? Are you ready to work harder with a gun in your back for a bowl of rice a day? You do know that without cheap oil and gasoline, food and medicine will become luxury goods that only the Inner Circle will be able to afford?

I don’t understand the difference between you guys and the people who think 9/11 was an inside job. They thought Bush was all evil and would all these terrible things and declare martial law and bla bla bla, and now you’re saying Obama will make our country socialist. How about we wait more than mmm, say, 2 days, before we make our final judgment? And you can’t say people didn’t give Bush a chance; His approval rating was above 50 percent all up to 9/11, when it skyrocketed to 90! The highest in history! He was given more than a chance, and his final 22 percent approval rating just goes to show the American people no longer trusted him with their country.

and his final 22 percent approval rating just goes to show the American people no longer trusted him with their country.

The Democratic Congress had the lowest approval rating in history as well, yet they increased their seats in both chambers. Your logic is flawed Morrone.

Um, how do you pronounce that?

    Morrone,

When gas hits $5/gallon this summer, do come back and explain to us again why we shouldn’t make “final judgments.”
