Mayor Gary Becker (Democrat) Charged, Child P0rn Involved
Let’s play name that Party affiliation! While some other news outlets finally get to Becker being a Democrat, usually deep within the story, MSNBC fails to mention the D word
The man who has taken over for Racine Mayor Gary Becker after his arrest on probable charges of pornography and solicitation of a minor say he needs to resign.
“I think it would be in the best interest of the city of Racine,” said City Council President David Maack in an exclusive interview on Newsradio 620 WTMJ. “We need to put this behind us.
Ever notice that when it is a Democrat involved, they always need to move on? If it is a Republican, they always say there needs to be more investigation, preferably back to 1st grade.
Charges are expected against Becker today, two days after his arrest on tentative charges of attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement and possession of child pornography.
Authorities said Becker also was being held on tentative charges of exposing a child to harmful materials, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and misconduct in public office.
We need to put this behind us, though.
The Journal Sentinel says state officials had begun investigating Becker after he brought a personal computer to work and had City Workers try to fix it.
So, he is a complete moron, to boot.
Let’s see: if it is a Republican, such as Jack Ryan (solicited his wife for sex), Mark Foley (inappropriate emails with no sex involved), or Larry Craig (foot tapping, no sex), it is a national disgrace. But, a Democrat with actual child p0rn on his PC? Move on.
And let’s not forget a president credibly accused of sexual improprieties, sexual harassment…..you know this story.
Back to the story, it is interesting that MSNBC forgets to mention that it is 5 felony counts and a misdemeanor. The Journal Sentinal has good detail of how it all went down, including how Becker went off to meet with who he thought was a 14 year old girl.

It took me a few minutes of searching to finally discover his party. Too bad the rest of the nation won’t make an effort to discover the truth about our leaders. Good job
Neither political party has a corner on either good or evil. When I see these stories, I’m always interested in the defendant’s party, and it never takes me more than a couple of seconds to find it. I haven’t noticed any of the media being afraid to mention that the sleazoid governor of Illinois is a Democrat, nor that the now imprisoned former governor is a Republican. I think it’s all a matter of perception.
What sells advertising is sensation. It may be more sensational when a Democrat is violating touted Democratic values, and likewise when a Republican is violating touted Republican values. Since the Republican party has allied itself so closely to the Evangelical fringe of Christianity and has persistently proclaimed its commitment to family values, it’s especially sensational when a prominent Republican leader gets caught with his pants down. When Larry Craig, a loudly public homophobe gets arested for fellating strangers in a men’s room, it’s only human to be amused.
The fact that the Democratic mayor of an insignificant town in Wisconsin was scheming to have sex with an underage girl is pathetic. Sick. Perverse. It’s just not as amusing.
If it were a Republican it would have been a the mayor and a 12 year old boy.
Everyone can agree that the mayor has acted in a criminal manner. Only conservatives will tie his behavior to his political affiliation, while decrying the media for not doing so as well.
This is rank hypocrisy at best. First, republican party operatives and officials are arrested and convicted of child oriented sex crimes on a daily basis. I know this as I have visited web sites that list thousands of republican child molesters and rapists.
My question is, why is the liberal media “moving on”? Why isn’t the liberal media performing an in depth expose on the the “family value” party, as there are so many child molesters hiding in the republican party? And why isn’t the republican parety, the self proclaimed keeper of “family values” doing a little honest soul searching and in the process doing a little house cleaning at the same time?
